About Sirius Dog Star Grooming and Healing

I provide house-call dog grooming in the Knoxville area, working in your dog’s home to help them stay calm and comfortable in a familiar space. I specialize in grooming anxious, senior, and special needs dogs who may not do well in traditional salons or mobile vans.

I’m a certified groomer and Reiki Master with over a decade of experience. During grooming, I use Reiki to help reduce stress and make the experience easier on your dog.

I offer one-on-one, cage-free grooming with gentle handling, no car rides, and no loud salon environment. Serving Knoxville and select nearby areas by appointment only.

Before you book

Most groomers ask for proof of current vaccinations, rabies above all, so have the record ready.
Ask how long your pet will stay, whether dryers are heated or hand-held, and how anxious or older animals are handled.
Agree on the cut and the price before the appointment; matted coats often cost extra.

April, owner of Sirius Dog Star Grooming has been grooming my two dogs every six weeks for two years, and she is outstanding. April is highly skilled, gentle, and truly understands dogs—mine are calm with her and always look great. She’s professional, kind, and a pleasure to work with. I have the highest confidence in her grooming and her calming touch. —Dr. Pamela L. Linden

April is amazing with my two dogs. She’s been grooming them for over a year. One is 12 and very anxious and the other is 8 and gets nasty when her ears and feet are touched. April is super with them, calm and knowledgeable. She is very centered on connecting with each dog and making their grooming experience as stress-free as possible. I highly recommend April for any dog grooming needs!

Fantastic job!! April was able to work with my senior schnauzer and had the patience when she needed a break. She is able to connect with the animals and make them feel more calm. She gains their trust and has helped our family tremendously! Highly recommend!

April is awesome! Our Goldendoodle feels at ease with her. We consider her a "dog whisperer" with compassion and awareness for the dog. She's very smooth in her technique and our dog feeds off of her calm demeanor. The fact that she comes to our house is a major plus. We recommend her 100%.
