Located at 2267 NW Military Hwy #115, San Antonio, TX 78213, Lucky Dog Pet Retreat & Spa operates as a pet groomer serving San Antonio in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as pet sitter, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In San Antonio, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Texas, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 am–5 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 242 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in San Antonio and suggests consistent service.

San Antonio is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Antonio follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I can’t say enough great things about this dog pet retreat and spa! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they truly care about every dog that comes through their doors. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and treats each pet like their own. The grooming services are top-tier—my dog Braxton always comes back looking amazing, clean, and happy. 🐶💙✨

I took my goldendoodle in last week following a very long road trip. I asked and paid for the full groom. 140.00, and I added a 20%tip on top of that. When I picked her up, she was so excited and ready to go so I didn’t look her over closely. The cut was very cute, but after we left I noticed the ears were not cleaned, and the hair on the ears was still very oily. I also noticed they didn’t trim her paws and the hair was very thick between her toes. They also failed to trim her tail at all, which had some mats left in it. I called the salon and just got a recording, I sent pictures of this to the person I had been texting regarding drop off and pick up, and as of yet have gotten no response from anyone. It just seems very unprofessional and I will not be returning.

Update: The owner Nicole was amazing! Her customer service will make me a return customer. I will be bringing Syre back and continue to allow the groomers to practice on the standard cut for the breed. Like I said before bad haircuts aren’t the worse and it’ll always grow back. But finding somewhere that truly appreciates their customers is hard to find. I can confirm that Lucky Dog Pet Retreat and Spa values my business. Moved here from Dallas and trying to find our new grooming home for my Black Russian Terrier. The employees were nice nd kept me updated including calling to explain that we would have to go shorter on the legs due to some matting. This was expected as I explained he had been outside quite a bit recently in the country. When picking him up I was informed of the $175 cost. Which was much higher than I’ve ever paid as a full groom in Dallas is usually about $115. I didn’t complain and included a tip. For their prices the haircut is amateur and they considered it a “luxury style” there is zero transition in the cut and he looks as if I did it myself. The area between his hips looks like a landing strip. I can deal with a bad haircut because his breed is rare and mos

Tux has only ever been to Lucky Dog Pet & Spa these last 5 years due to their continued exceptional services. I love knowing that he can be groomed, socialized, & boarded all in the same place & with continuous care. And if we ever want to check and see how he is doing, they provide cameras for us to see. Tux is always happy after a visit & that is all we could ask for. Thank You LDP&S. We wouldn’t know what to do without you. 🐾

Nicole & the entire staff at Lucky Dog genuinely care, with which they treat our dog as good as my family does. They take their time to insure the grooming is done right! Stetson always come back clean, fresh and smelling so good. The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable, as Nicole, and staff members are always there with a smile to greet you. Nicole also steps in to help out when needed, which speaks volume when the owner comforts your pup on his first visit, as change of environment can be scary for your pooch, she didn’t hesitate to get involved. We have been back since, and Stetson strolls right in like he owns the place, which makes me so happy, and comfortable that he is in a safe and healthy space where I can trust and rely on the entire team over at Lucky Dog! If you’re looking for a loving and amazing new dog place for literally all your needs, this is the place. It truly is a community that is honest, and genuinely cares about your fur babies! Thank you, everyone at Lucky Dog Spa, from the bottom of our hearts!
