K9 Cafe Boutique & Spa

It's a bit pricey and honestly they had us in and out like we was a car wash. I honestly didn't feel like they took the time to clean my babies. The store is cute and they have a lot of beautiful items but it's a bit pricey. I rather stick to online buying if you ask me. *On the plus note they do give military discount. But make sure to ask it will help a little save on taxes lol

My dog has been going to K 9 Cafe since she was just a puppy. They used to offer a “Puppy’s First Groom”. It’s basically the mini groom. But, that was her first experience. She’s almost 7 years old now. I’ll admit that there was a dip in service for a couple of years post pandemic. But, things have returned to be more consistent. I’ve taken her elsewhere. But, she and I are just more comfortable with K9 Cafe.

Fantastic selection of products. Went in to just kill some time and left with two dog outfits/a satchel carrier. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I believe the associate that helped us was named Darma (sorry if it’s wrong!) She showed us many different products, talked us through how they worked, and even helped us try them on our pup. Great experience and will be back! Thanks Darma!

-Injury During Grooming and Lack of Accountability- I am writing this review after giving the owner an opportunity to address a serious concern privately. My dog was injured during a grooming appointment on December 23rd and was returned to me with two scratches that later formed scabs. I was never informed of any incident at pickup. I also noticed my dog was kept from noon until about 7 PM, which is significantly longer than usual. When I reached out calmly and in detail to ask what happened, who groomed her, and why I wasn’t notified of the injury (I couldn't believe my regular groomer Trish hurt her, but the owner confirmed she served her that day) the owner’s response did not address the injury at all. Instead, I was told that “all groomers have their own style” and was offered a 25% discount for a future visit. This is not a matter of grooming preference. It is a matter of safety and transparency. Offering a coupon without acknowledging or explaining how a pet was hurt is not professional and does not reassure a pet owner. Because of the lack of accountability and clear communication, I no longer feel safe bringing my puppy back. I am sharing this so other pet owners can

I rescued a samoyed in early oct of this year and have had a horrible time with groomers. All have charged me between 250-325 dollars to groom her and have done a subpar job. Small details like shaving the paw pads, trimming the stomach or the private areas have gone amiss, and she usually came back to me damp with many tangles leftover. I saw K9 while I was picking up coffee for work and decided to give them a shot since I've yet to have luck elsewhere, and I am so glad I did. Not only are their prices reasonable, but she came out absolutely beautiful. It was the first time I've seen her coat so white, fluffy, clean, and tangle-free. The groomer even mentioned he gave her breaks when she got too hot in the dryer, which tells me they actually pay attention to their wellbeing during their service. I also noticed during drop off that the front desk lady took down notes during our consultation, many of the things she wrote verbatim to ensure she ended up with the proper haircut. If you are looking for a place to groom your furbaby, this is absolutely the place to do it.
