About HAPPY PET SPAW

With over a decade of experience, our family business originally started in San Jose, we are so excited to serve the community with our experience and continue our tradition of providing the best care for your best friend

Located at 104 Race St, San Jose, CA 95126, HAPPY PET SPAW operates as a pet groomer serving San Jose in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In San Jose, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (669) 292-9455. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, happypetspaw.com.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 16 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pet groomers in San Jose.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Love bringing my senior here, he doesn’t let me cut his hair myself but they are very patient and they are able to get all of the areas he doesn’t let me do like his face.

Super happy with my experience with Happy Pet Spaw! I am a first time puppy owner and have been super nervous that my Shih Tzu wasn't going to like the groomers since at-home showers and attempts to trim his hair around face were not going well. The Happy Pet Spaw team truly worked a miracle! They were so patient with my Benny Boy and were able to groom even the most stubborn areas (All in less than 2 hours!!) I felt bad since my puppy still has separation issues and could hear his barking from across the street. However, the team was very patient and reassured me that he is just a puppy, things will get better and easier. I appreciate the whole experience and love that is this a family owned business. Benny will be back!! :)

Very disappointed with my last visit here. I been a costumer for quite some time now and to see the level of work that was done to my dog was very disappointing. I have to start off by saying the young man that greeted me was very rude and not accommodating to my needs at all. I gave it the benefit of the doubt since I’ve been coming here for years but once I pick up my dog that’s when I knew things were just not the same here. Not only was my dog completely not to my request but once I got home I noticed his ear had some blood and realized they had cut my dog from the groom and they had failed to communicate this to me. Unfortunately, they lost a dear long time costumer not much by the horrible costumer service the young man gave me but just the over all miscommunication of things. My dog’s health is everything and if you “miss” to tell me about an injury it’s a no go for me anymore. Highly disappointed costumer. To reply: yes it had been 4 months since I brought him to this location. My dog did have matting but not the extreme were he has in any form of pain or the need to shave him to this extent. As I explained your customer service was not to help me it was to make your job e
