Our pup absolutely loves Happy Hound! We did a short board and train with her and had a wonderful experience. Since then she goes to daycare regularly and comes home happy and exhausted. They make an effort to be so transparent about what goes on while our furry loved one is under their care - we love being able to watch what she’s up to on the webcams. Special shout out to the trainers, Eris and Victoria, who did an incredible job with our high drive puppy and educating us on the nuances of dog behavior. Our girl loves it so much that she can’t wait to run inside and say hello to all the warm and helpful staff. Much thanks to Suzanne, Eris, Victoria and all the staff for making Happy Hound such a special place!

I really like Happy Hound! The staff is amazing. They're always courteous, nice, helpful and willing to help. They know my dog's name and my dog absolutely loves going there. The facility is pretty big and there are separate areas for dogs depending on their size. They also have cameras in all the public areas where the dogs play/rest and if you log in from home/work, you can see what your dog is up to. They're also very good at sending messages for nonemergency matters. For example, they notify you if your dog has diarrhea. If anything else happens like an altercation between dogs, they'll call you and tell you if your dog got a scratch etc. Their weekday hours are good (7pm to 7pm). Unfortunately the weekend hours not so much. I haven't left my dog overnight but have not heard negative comments about it. It is a bit pricey but worth it. They have different packages depending on your needs The reason I'm giving Happy Hound 4 out of 5 stars is that more often than not, the facilities have a strong smell and my dog comes home smelling bad. I cannot describe the smell well but I imagine it is smell from the accumulation of poop, pee, and lots of dogs together in one place. But my do

We brought Higgins here for his evaluation and a daycare. He had a fantastic time! We loved watching him play through the webcam. We tried a handful of daycares in Seattle and this is by far the cleanest, most professional, and most loving place. We plan to enroll him in training, and bought a 10 class pass for daycare so he can continue to make friends!

Huge shoutout to Happy Hounds! I’ve been bringing my black Lab/German Shepherd mix, Pablo, here every Friday for the past four years, and he absolutely lives for it. He’s always so stoked to get there and comes home happy and tuckered out every single time. Adrienne and Minnie are the best—they’re awesome with the pups and super easy to work with. It’s such a relief knowing Pablo is in great hands while I’m busy. We’ve been regulars for a long time now and definitely plan on sticking with them. If you’re in Oakland and need a solid spot for your dog, this is it!

Amazing facility and super friendly and welcoming staff. My dog has moderate to severe separation anxiety, and after just two days of daycare now LOVES going to Happy Hound. The first day, she barked and jumped at the door awhile, and the second day she relaxed and even made a friend! The webcams are such a thoughtful and fun addition to the experience so that the humans can see how much fun their dogs are having. I am so grateful for the attentive staff who assured me and my husband that our fur baby would do well and thrive at daycare. So happy we found this incredible place!
