Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My doggo and I absolutely love Fur Paws! My GSD has been coming here on and off since he was just 4 months old, and he is now going on 7 years old. We live out in Spring, but I gladly make the drive to the Heights every now and then so he can get some socializing in. He's always super excited when I drop him off, especially if he sees Jorge! When he was much younger, I also utilized their boarding services a couple of times and had a great experience with no complaints. He also did his basic puppy training here, which saved my sanity. Before going, he was constantly biting everyone's ankles and pottying inside the house. He came back fully potty-trained, knew the basic commands, and the ankle-biting completely stopped. Highly recommend this place!

I took my two girls to be groomed here for the first time. I'm always very nervous about leaving them somewhere new but am so glad that I heard about them! They were very organized about everything. I sat in a seperate waiting room to meet with the groomer regarding their cut styles and behaviors before she took them back. Later, they sent a report card for each on how they did with a before and after pic. I loved that! The best thing was that they seemed to have a good experience and didn't act upset or anxious when I picked them up!

We've been taking our beloved Toy Poodle (pure bred) to this groomer since we moved to Houston in January of 2025. 7 times he was groomed in 2025. All at the same price. First groom in 2026 he is now being charged for having a double coat. Toy poodles don't have a double coat. And he certainly has the same coat he had all last year. We paid the extra once without really understand why. Today we brought him back, discussed the fact he doesn't have a double coat, we don't want to see that charge, the receptionist says she would let her manager know. We picked him up and the charge is still applied. And it stated that he is a mixed breed and has a double coat. Nope. He is not. We will not be returning. Completely unacceptable.

My dog LOVES Fur Paws. He’s excited every time we pull up and he is always greeted by the staff with lots of love. I can tell he is well taken care of by how he greets every staff member and his favorite four legged friends. It’s a gift to know your pet will be well taken care of. I’ve also used the grooming services and have been very pleased.

I have brought my pup to FurPaws a couple of times now and I couldn’t be happier with her visits! The first time I brought her was after a bad experience at her previous daycare that took her from thinking everyone was her best friend to being shutdown and scared - so needless to say I was nervous! I called in the middle of the day to check in on her (overbearing dog mom I know) and staff immediately put my mind at ease telling me about her first day. She came home so happy and content! She can still be shy at times but it feels great to know FurPaws and their amazing staff is there to take care of her. They have been just what she needs to come out of her shell again! Ps the report cards are a must, they’re too cute <3
