I cannot say enough good things about this store!! I absolutely love going to Wayne's - it feels like the old school feed store with wonderful products and fantastic staff. We grabbed dog food and by the pound grass seed and will be back very soon!

We always go there for our home vegetable plants and dog treats. The plants always do well with a good selection to choose from, not half dead things from most everywhere else. Friendly staff and a mellow Aussie to greet you. In a rough part of town, but a gem of a place! They also have a huge assortment of fish and equipment including all kinds of seeds for lawn and gardens. Our go-to place for outdoor needs on Rockford!

While the store isn't all shiny and new like some people require. Their staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We were greeted when we walked in and asked if we needed any assistance. They have a large selection of animal supplies, garden supplies, seeds, TONS of FISH and assortment of other animals. BTW when we say ton of fish - my partner said this was better then a zoo - they had fish we have never heard of or seen (and he worked in a pet store at one time) If you haven't stopped in give them a try - it's great to support local and especially local that knows how to provide amazing customer service.

The variety is good. I have visited the store twice and purchased 3 fish from there. So far, I've had no issues with the fish. On my first visit, the young lady that helped me was very helpful in helping me choose an appropriate fish for my community tank. On the second visit, I brought my 11 year old daughter with and we arrived around 5PM. We looked around at their merchandise and grabbed some food for our Betta. We then started to look at other animals available for sale. That is when store manager (Fred) approached and asked if we needed some help and I said, "No thank you, we are just looking around at what you have and then we will be going to the other side to buy fish." He then proceeds to tell me "Well then you'd better hurry up and figure it out!" There was still 40 minutes prior to store closing. After looking around at the fish, we then asked a different employee to assist us to choose our next fish(2) and he was also very knowledgeable in helping us with our selection and cashed us out as well(receipt time was 5:32). Fred’s comment would not have even been necessary had it even been 15 minutes from the store closing, let alone 40 minutes prior. That is no way to talk
