VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory Ridge

All personnel are incredibly kind and empathetic - from receptionists on the phone, to walking in, veterinarians, interns, etc. Dr. Myers is especially wonderful with my rats. She gives reasonable diagnoses and often errors on the side of caution as opposed to suggesting xrays or other options that may not be right for my rats. What I love the most is being able to call a concern into the receptionist and they will relay my message to the Dr. I then get a text message, and im supported via text to some of my concerns that may not warrant a full blown visit. Thanks, everyone!!

I visited VCA for the first time this past week after recently adopting my cat Jafaar. As a first time cat owner, I was incredibly nervous to bring him to the vet after adjusting to a new home. EVERY, and I mean every staff member Jafaar and I interacted with was kind, compassionate, and answered all of my questions. They treated Jafaar like their own pet and I am so happy to have found a vet that I can trust! Thank you!

I just recently adopted my dog Webber and needed a reliable vet. I was recommended by a friend to visit VCA. I had the best experience during the first visit with the front desk staff and VET. I called this evening to speak to someone regarding an appointment and was treated with complete disrespect. The woman I spoke to was very impatient and seems to be very irritated that I called. I am completely shocked considering everyone I have spoken to since our last visit has been very kind a professional. I am hoping I do not have this experience again.

This is by far the best veterinary practice around. From the staff who answer the phone to the techs and the vets they CARE and love our pets as much as we do. The follow up is terrific, they squeeze you in when urgently needed and give you choices on treatment plan. And even on off hours they help. We've brought 2 family dogs and several service dogs in training we raise here. Thanks for all you do!!!

Have been a client of VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory RIdge for over a year now. Turns out several of my dog training friends also go to Dr. Kelso as their veterinarian. She is very experienced, knowledgeable, listens to all my questions and concerns, and is a wonderful combination of expertise and warmth. I am a retired physician so I have lots of questions. Dr. Kelso is patient and allows me to ask questions of the treatment plan so that we can come to something that we are both comfortable with. Both my rescue mixes compete in various dog sports and Dr. Kelso understands the demands of that, being a competitive handler herself. Completely satisfied and pleased with Dr. Kelso as our primary vet. Saw Dr. Moldenhauer for an emergency allergic reaction visit and she was reassuring and took good care of my dog. The support staff and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this practice.
