About The Monon Tail

The Monon Tail is a pet groomer in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is listed at 7511 E Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46240, which places it among the local businesses of Indianapolis that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Indianapolis is in Indiana, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Indianapolis follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. They did an excellent job with the groom but I had two major issues: 1. My dog is a 4yo 95lb Newfoundland. She is shy and fearful of grooming. I made sure to mention twice that this being her first time here, I was completely fine if the groom did not get completed due to her becoming too stressed. They pushed her too far and she burst blood vessels in both eyes either from pulling too hard or from jumping off the table. They did not warn me that this happened and kept her from 8am to 5pm to complete a groom. 2. Cost. $330. My dog was in need of a groom and we both verbally talked about brushing and he mentioned its $1.50/min. I knew she needed it but I asked to be called if he did more than 30 mins. I doubted he would get much more than that before my dog was in need of being done. He said he brushed for 4 hours and only charged me for 2.5 hours. Cost breakdown was $105 for bath, blowout, & trim (reasonable for giant breed dog) and $225 for brushing that likely should have stopped 10x earlier. I think this miscommunication with both me and with reading my animal will lead me to not recommend in the future. If your dog is not stressed at a groomer, and does not have a long coat i

We LOVE Chris and Jose!!! And our dogs love them more!!! My dog goes crazy every time we pull up. I’m really glad I found them, because their love for dogs is what drives their business. I know my dogs are in the best care possible when I need to travel, work, etc. And the best thing is they come home tired after an active day. Their grooming services also never disappoint. They do such a good job every visit.

Amazing! Jose and Chris are animal lovers and it shows! I took my sweet boy in for a nail trim and file. They did much better than Petsmart, and for a better price. My dog hates pedicures, but loved Jose and Chris so much he didn’t want to leave when they were done. I would HIGHLY recommend them to take care of your fur babies!

I found them online and there was quite a wait to get in but after the reviews I figured it was worth a shot. They did such a good job with our GG girl. It was her first time being groomed and when I picked her up she didn't seem phased at all, not scared, just a happy little girl. And she looked SO adorable!! I left the style in their hands, as they are the professionals, plus not knowing what a Cavapoo should look like and they knocked it out of the park. Plus, her fur was as soft as a feather. I highly recommend.

Chris and Jose are the absolute best groomers! They are so friendly and you can tell how much they love the pets! The pets love them too :) my golden retriever Lucy is two years old and they always make her look and smell great! She loves going there. One of the big things I like about them is when my husband and I are working they will watch her all day too! You really can’t beat their prices! I would recommend to anyone!
