Terrible experience. We booked two rooms, and the first room had a strong smoke odor. In addition, the air conditioning did not work properly in either room throughout our stay. The following morning, we had breakfast at the hotel. While the food itself was acceptable, the service was disappointing. Dirty plates and glasses remained on our table and were clearly ready to be cleared, yet they were repeatedly overlooked. I contacted American Express in an effort to address the issues we experienced. The resolution offered was only a $50 refund per room, and after explaining our concerns directly to the front desk, they provided an additional $25 credit for one room. Considering we spent approximately $1,000 on this stay, the overall experience and the response to these issues were extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I expected a significantly higher level of service and accommodations for the amount paid. After checking their reviews another customer had an issue with the AC 4 weeks ago! Must’ve cheaped out on that repair as well!

My stay here was very pleasant and comfortable, the room was well decorated and organized, they provided good basics for our stay. What really stood out to me was the bar and rooftop pool. The downside would be the parking situation if you don’t want to do valet, crossing the street there are payed overnight parking for about $25, it’s a little sketchy but we had no issues with our car during our stay. I will also say their cafe in the lobby didn’t meet our expectations the matcha and ham and cheese croissant were lacking in flavor. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel staff is friendly, they have added layers of guest protection, very cozy and comfortable rooms and great amenities and atmosphere.

The is what I would describe as a ‘boujie’ hotel! The quaint rooms are tastefully decorated with, spacious and have the most comfortable beds. The location is in the heart of Theatreland on Broadway, with many of the venues a short walk away. The rooftop has a nice pool and terrace for relaxing, not to mention the breathtaking view of the downtown LA skyline. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers staying in downtown LA.

Rooms were small, even with the upgrade, but they were clean and well maintained. Front desk service was great, but responses through the hotel chat were painfully slow. One of the reasons we booked was because they advertised baby amenities, but the experience fell short. I requested a crib ahead of time and it was not ready upon arrival. When it was finally brought up, it came without sheets or blankets. They also advertise amenities like a bottle warmer, Coterie diapers and wipes, and a baby bath, but all we received was baby soap and lotion. Personally, I would not stay here again with a baby. We also requested the complimentary Hoxton breakfast for our son, and they brought overnight oats containing honey, which babies are not supposed to have. Thankfully I checked before giving him more than a tiny spoonful and he was fine. If you’re planning to use your Amex credit, expect most of it to go toward parking. Valet was expensive and extremely slow. We waited about 20 minutes for our car, so definitely call ahead before heading down.
