We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Leaving your dog with someone else is never easy, but Joe made the entire process so reassuring. From day one, he kept us updated and genuinely cared about Bitsy’s progress. Bitsy made incredible improvements during her stay through positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency. One of the biggest highlights was seeing her meet so many different dogs and actually make friends. Watching her build confidence around other dogs and learn how to socialize has been amazing and is something we’ll always be grateful for. It was obvious that Joe took the time to understand Bitsy’s personality and worked with her at her own pace. You can tell this isn’t just a job to him—he truly cares about every dog that comes through his program. If you’re looking for the best dog trainer in the area, Joe at The Bark Stop is truly exceptional. He worked wonders with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Winnie 🐶❤️, and her training has been incredible. Joe has a natural gift for connecting with dogs and teaching owners in a way that feels simple, supportive, and effective. Winnie went from distracted and unsure to calm, confident, and beautifully well‑behaved. Joe is an amazing trainer to work with. My fiancé and I did the 12 private training sessions package. It is wonderful that it is a training not based on choke collars or e-collars as our puppy had high anxiety and was scared of a lot of things. He provided the basic puppy training for our at the time 5 month old mini Aussie (Yumi) to start out with and we progressed into manners, socialization, off-leash training, and handling different environments, people, and other dogs. (dog park, lake eola, target, pets mart.) He will then cater to yours and your puppy’s needs based on what you are noticing outside of training. Joe is very responsive and provides a lot of cute pictures/videos of the training sessions along with us with our puppy. He would show us how to work with the our pup and then have us do it ourselves until we are comfortable. Joe is readily available through text if you have any questions outside of the training session. Yumi is doing amazing. She has alot of built up confidence, patience, and discipline to roam around the house and be out in public without us worrying. We will definitely be back for some of his doggy tune up training in the near future.

We had an amazing experience with Joe! He trained both of our cavapoos and truly exceeded our expectations. From the start, he set realistic, achievable goals that made the whole process feel manageable and encouraging. Our dogs are high-energy, and Joe not only helped improve their behavior so much, but also taught us effective ways to get their energy out in a positive, productive way. They are now so much better behaved, and we feel way more confident handling them day to day. The dogs genuinely loved Joe and were always excited to go to training sessions. It was so reassuring to see how comfortable and happy they were while still making great progress. We’re so grateful for everything Joe taught us and our dogs! Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog trainer!

We’ve been working with Joe since late 2025, and I truly can’t say enough good things about him. We have two Jack Russells, so as you can imagine, lots of energy. We’ve tried a wide range of training tools over the years, but Joe’s gentle, force free approach is exactly what we were looking for. Even though our dogs are older, they’ve both made incredible progress. One of our biggest challenges was leash walking. They were both reactive and aggressive on walks. Through Joe’s guidance, working around other dogs, and using the right tools such as longer leashes, proper harnesses, and a treat pouch, walks have become so much more enjoyable for all of us. One of our dogs is very loving but also very vocal, especially when people come over. Joe has given us simple, effective tools to manage this, like lick mats, snuffle mats, and the place command, which have made a huge difference. We now feel confident and prepared instead of overwhelmed. Training has also been fun, which I didn’t expect. One of my favorite moments was taking my pup into a coffee shop and getting him a pup cup. I never thought that would be possible, and it’s something I will always remember and look forward to doi
