Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Austin is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Was in "dire straights" to board my dog for the first time at last minute. Usually I have house/dog sitters. Taurus came through 100%. I spoke with 3 or 4 of their staff and they were all attentive and amazing. I was impressed. Will not ever be stressed about boarding my dog again at Taurus!

If I could give negative stars I would. We boarded our two dogs here for three nights and both came back with problems that warranted emergency vet visits due to the absolute lack of care provided by the team at Taurus. From my vet directly “the obvious lack of care and ignorance at Taurus is NOT OKAY”

My dog has been going to Taurus Metric for almost a year and we love it! He is so excited to go nearly every day and it's clear he loves the staff-- he wants to give them a hug each day. He's also made doggie friends and typically shares a run between play sessions. All the staff are friendly and care about the dogs. Syerra, Mark, Amanda, Beth, and Az do a great job. I boarded my dog there once for a long weekend and would do so again. We also went to Taurus McNeil for a couple weeks and the staff there loved my dog too. After day care, we go for a walk and then he naps for a couple hours. I recommend Taurus to anyone looking for dog daycare!

Taurus Academy on Metric has been watching my Bulldog, Delphine, for several years now and we’ve always had a great experience. Delphine was a rescue who had some fearfulness around other dogs, but she has come such a long way with the love and support of the Taurus team. Her transformation into a more confident dog would not have been possible without the incredible staff here who worked with her patiently over the years. I love how easy the team is to reach if I ever have any questions for them. The ability to text and check in on Del is awesome. They also consistently send report cards each day. Highly recommend Taurus on Metric! We’ve tried other Taurus locations as well as other doggy daycare facilities and this is the best one in town by far.

I have been taking my dog to Taurus at Metric for 3 years and there is no place I trust more. The staff are friendly and professional. I have only had great experiences with their customer service, especially with Syerra, who is extremely friendly and attentive. Syerra has even helped me with some training-related matters, so Taurus has been a value even beyond regular playcare/boarding. The pricing is reasonable and my dog is always so excited when he gets there. I highly recommend Taurus Metric for playcare and boarding.
