Huntington Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Huntington Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Martina and her team are a god send. I rescued my first large breed dog six years ago. Never owning a dog over 20 lbs, having an 80 lb dog is a completely different thing. I was blessed to find her and start my pup early (4 mos old). He is the most balanced and happy pup. I get compliments all the time on how well trained he is. That is a testament to Martina and her team. Six years later I still have my pup involved in her socialization and community events. As she always says “always be training”. I have also referred her to several friends with dogs of all shapes and sizes and everyone is so thankful to have found her,

Potato is an anxious golden retriever and through training and social exposure with them he is getting more confident. Banana is 6 and I have been working with them since she was a puppy. She is amazing in the community and loves adventures

We had our first training session with Donut, our 4-month-old Australian Shepherd, and were very impressed. He started the session barking and reacting to everything, but by the end he was able to participate in a pack walk, work around other dogs, and focus much better. We’ve owned Australian Shepherds before, but every dog is different, and the trainers did a great job explaining Donut’s behavior and showing us how to work through some of his reactivity and leash-pulling. They were patient, knowledgeable, and made the training both productive and enjoyable. We know training is a journey, but after just one session we already saw progress and left feeling encouraged. We’re excited to continue working with Russ, Martina, and Brandon as Donut grows. Thank you for helping us build a strong foundation!

Excellent service dog training by all trainers. We have an autism service dog and a mobility service dog. They not only train our dogs, they train us so we can consistently keep our dogs trained 24/7, not just on training days. We often get compliments on how well behaved both our dogs are. My autistic son has matured and grown a little more independent since getting his dog. He shows pride in ownership and being able to handle his dog on his own. My mobility dog is wonderful! He is an anchor for me. When I get dizzy I know I can hang on to him to hold me steady, unlike a walker or a cane. My dog helps me navigate stairs. I’m slow going up. He patiently waits and assists me with each step no matter how long I take. I cannot imagine life without our dogs. These trainers really understand our needs and plan out our dog’s training to suit us. They are so knowledgeable and really understand canines. Priceless!!!

We have been using TACT K9 Handling since the fall of 2020 with both of our yellow labs. Martina & Russ are incredible dog trainers. They cater their private training to be exactly what your dog needs and their group classes are also a lot of fun and are challenging our pups in all of the right ways! It’s very hard to find a consistent and reliable dog trainer, especially in Southern California. They offer AKC Fit Dog and AKC K9 Good Citizen trainings & certifications as well. Could not sing higher praises!
