I was handed my dog with FECES on her paws! "Oh it's just a little poop 💩" said the SBSPCA when I asked what was hanging from my dogs paw! I went straight to the bathroom to wash her & saw that SBSPCA had cut into the quick on a lot of her nails, that I was cleaning Dried 💩 off! 💩 had been there for a while, exposing bacteria 🦠 from 💩 into my dogs Blood 🩸 Stream!! After charging me Over a THOUSAND DOLLARS they can't wipe 💩 off my innocent dog!? That they exposed open wounds to! Disgraceful! The vet told me my first visit for dental exam that it would be $450-700, a gal besides me said "Good deal". But they charged me OVER TWICE the low & OVER $300 MORE than the high!! That vet said she would Only pull what was necessary. And that's SHE would clean my dogs teeth. But a Different blond vet pulled 13 🦷!!! When I asked WHY, (because just 2 months ago an official veterinarian dentist said 2 🦷needed to be pulled. I have the receipts!!!) The blond SBSPCA vet threw her hand up, looked into the air & said "I just wanted to clean up". Unethical. Inhumane. Disgustingly CRUEL SHAME on you SBSPCA! All Honorable people, Honor ALL people. These people are DISHONORABLE

This clinic never picks up the phone Their hours are limited and whenever they are open and I try to call I never get to anyone. I’m only ever able to leave a voicemail. Even when I do leave a voicemail no one ever returns my call until hours later. Not sure why their phone system doesn’t let you speak to someone and just sends you to voicemail, but there needs to be a better system so people can get their questions answered.

Santa Barbara Humane truly cares about the animals in their care. You can tell they take the time to thoughtfully match pets with the right homes and make sure they’re going somewhere safe and loving. The staff was kind, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’m so grateful for the work they do and for helping me find such a special little dog.

The vets were friendly and very good with my anxious pup. Prices are fair and they do good work for those who have financial struggles. It’s clear the vets love their work and love the animals for which they care.

Wonderful place to adopt from. A huge shoutout to Hunter and Andrew for helping me adopt my two new kittens. The two of you were VERY knowledgeable, patient, and very kind. Upon adoption, the society helped me get the kittens needs met by giving me free food they’ve been eating, and medication they’ve been taking (just things for fleas with these two). Additionally, they’ve gone above and beyond about making me feel secure. I had noticed one of my cats was sneezing, and they painted the picture of what’s going on effortlessly. I appreciate this place very much! Thanks for helping me find my new forever friends. I’m glad I drove up from Ventura to adopt from here.
