About River Kitty Cat Cafe

We are a cat cafe, one of about 100 in the United States! We are owned and operated by the Vanderburgh Humane Society! As a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization, the cafe gives us the opportunity to feature homeless, adoptable cats in a unique setting. To support our important cause, our cafe serves a large variety of beverages, including coffee, smoothies, beer and wine. We have the largest selection of macarons in town and always have at least 16 flavors on hand. All proceeds support our mission. So stop by for a treat, a cuddle and since all the cats are available for adoption, maybe meet your new best friend. 😻

I love playing with the cute cats. It makes me emotional. These babies are well loved and taken care of. I hope this business continues to flourish because of their good deeds.

Excellent cat café! The cats were fantastic, as was the coffee. The decorations were first rate.

The coffee wasn't as good as I would've liked personally, but still a lot of fun! The cats are in a little enclosure area that you do have to pay to get into, which just helps them pay for taking care of the cats and some even goes to the humane society! The staff was awesome, and just kind of leave me be when I just wanted to hang out. Super chill but when I went around lunchtime no one was really there which surprised me.

Great goodness!! We reserved a spot right at 11, and for just a $10 reservation, we enjoyed up to an hour with the cats. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest cats and kittens. A delightful staff member joined us, sharing her knowledge about the adoption process and each cat in her care. It was the perfect midday break! We left with the same number of cats we arrived with—much to my husband’s relief. If you’ve been thinking about going but haven’t yet, do it! You won’t regret it. 🐈 🐈‍⬛️ Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite, and 1 small town at a time! Explore everything!
