Petland McKinney

My experience at this pet store was extremely disappointing. I went in to purchase a puppy and immediately chose one in particular. The employee who assisted us was the one who showed me that puppy so I could interact with him. I loved him, decided to take him home, and signed the contract, completing the entire purchase process. However, when it was time to take the puppy home, they brought out a completely different dog. I explained that this was not the puppy I had chosen and that the same employee had shown me the other one. The mistake was theirs, not mine, yet they showed no empathy or willingness to resolve the situation. Additionally, during our interaction, the employee displayed behavior that I perceived as racist and discriminatory, making me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I chose to ignore it at the time because I simply wanted to enjoy the experience of purchasing my pet. What should have been a happy experience turned into a very negative one. I do not recommend this store and would definitely not purchase a pet there again.

We had such a wonderful experience at Petland! Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire process. Abby was especially helpful and took the time to answer our questions, make sure we understood everything, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. The other employees were also kind, knowledgeable, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about helping their customers and making sure the puppies are well cared for. We really appreciate the great experience and would definitely recommend Petland to others!

This has been such an easy and quick experience would definitely recommend y’all coming in to either just look at puppies or actually purchasing one . The worker who helped us was Jasmyne, she was AMAZING. Loved her energy, great since of humor, and very thorough with all explanations. We love our not so little Doberman Amara. SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE 😊

I was planning to buy a dog from this store and I actually found a puppy that I really loved. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We waited for more than 30 minutes for any employee to help us, but all the staff were sitting inside talking to each other even though there were still around 40 minutes left before closing time. No one came to assist us. Before we left, a girl came out from the back just to mop the floor while we were still there and there were still 30 minutes left before closing. I asked her about the puppy’s price, and she said their prices start from $2,500 and up. I asked specifically about that puppy, and she said she didn’t know. I honestly don’t understand — am I supposed to know the price, or should the employee know it? The whole experience was very upsetting because I truly loved that puppy and was excited to possibly bring him home. What made it even more uncomfortable was that as soon as we walked out and got into our car, the employees suddenly came out from inside. The behavior felt very strange and honestly came across as discriminatory or rude. Maybe it was because we looked different, I don’t know, but waiting for us to leave befo
