I want to say that, for the first time, someone has done such a horrible job on my dog. The grooming was absolutely terrible and extremely overpriced. They charged me over $210, and the result was awful. My dog came back with a terrible haircut. Some sections of her fur were left way too long while others were cut too short. She wasn’t brushed, she wasn’t combed, and it looked like no care or attention was given to her at all. The service was absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this place at all—0% recommended. This place is awful. I strongly recommend that you do not go there. Don’t take your pet to this place.

I only give 1 star because this store never opens on time. Yesterday, we had to wait until 10 am for a manager to open the store, mind you the first dog grooming is at 8:00 am. That is the reason I chose 9 am but the manager came in at about 9:45 am, there was no “I am sorry.” The groomer however did a great job, she was apologetic and gave us 10% discount because of the lateness. This is not the first time they open late. I am sure PETCO is a good company but the management team on Utica Avenue needs to go. This is a disrespect to our community. We bring you business, respect you!

I just picked up my dog from a grooming session with Sabrina and was informed that she was hitting my dog and stuffing his ears in his mouth. Now when you touch his ears, he jumps like he’s hurt. Dogs know when something is off with people and when I dropped him off, he seemed stand off-ish with her specifically. She didn’t even trim his ears or cut his nails. Simply to say, if you don’t have the patience to work with peoples pets, please find another job.

Jaylee provides excellent customer service and demonstrates compassionate and loving care towards my dog. I’m always pleased when I pick my dog up after grooming. However I have noticed a trend of lateness with the store being opened on time. Initially I was pleased at the wide range of appointment times offered and the option to select an early morning appointment worked for my schedule. But now there have been a couple of occasions where I arrived on time for my 8:00 am appointment only to be told the manager wasn’t there to open the store so the groomers and myself were left waiting and had to return to our cars until the manager arrived. There was one occasion when the manager did not arrive until over an hour after my dog’s scheduled appointment time to open the store. If the store will not be open on time for the 8:00am appointment time then these times should not be offered as an option for customers. Petco sends numerous reminders in the days leading up to an appointment. If I’m expected to adhere to the appointment time and arrive on time, the store should be open when I get there.
