About Paws on Fifth
Located at 308 Fifth Ave, Pelham, NY 10803, Paws on Fifth operates as a pet groomer serving Pelham in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8:30 am–5 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Pelham is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pelham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’ve been bringing my dogs here since 2001, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have groomed several of our dogs over the years, always with incredible care and attention. Our dogs come home looking great and completely relaxed. It’s clear they truly love animals. Highly recommend.

Great experience at Paws on Fifth. I brought my 2 year old Havanese who has a beautiful thick silk coat and they cleaned him up nice and for a reasonable price. I also asked to show a picture and they happily obliged, which I really appreciated. Very friendly staff and easy responsive communication, I would recommend this groomer.

Paws on 5th gave my dog an absolute transformation. From the moment we walked in, it was clear how much they truly care about the dogs—not just how they look, but their health too. Yes, the wait time can be a bit lengthy, but it’s completely worth it. They take their time and make sure every dog is comfortable, safe, and well cared for, and it truly shows in the results. What really stood out was that they noticed a rash on my dog’s skin and immediately brought it to my attention so I could take my dog to the vet. That kind of care and honesty is rare and so appreciated. Pro tip: bring cash to tip—they absolutely deserve it. If you want groomers who genuinely love what they do and treat your dog like family, Paws on 5th is the place. Highly recommend 🐾✨

This is my first time taking my 5-year-old GSD to a professional groomer, and this shop did not disappoint! The staff accommodated me and my pup and eased all anxiety for us both. Every member was professional, open to my concerns, and treated my dog with care and patience. The grooming itself was excellent—my dog came out looking great and clearly comfortable. I truly appreciate the kindness and attention we received and would highly recommend this groomer to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate team.

I’ve been going to Paws on Fifth for almost 10 years, and they’ve always taken such amazing care of my dog, Mellow. She’s always been a little nervous about grooming, but the team is consistently gentle, patient, and kind with her. It really makes a difference knowing she’s in good hands. On the very rare occasion when her groom wasn’t exactly how I envisioned it, they were always open, friendly, and welcoming with my feedback. You can tell they truly care about their clients and want you to be happy. Mellow always leaves looking adorable, and I always leave feeling grateful. I couldn’t recommend Paws on Fifth more! 🐾✨
