We have two German Shepherds, one of whom had diabetes. When we were told medical boarding was our only option, we were devastated at the thought of her spending time confined to a crate at a 24-hour vet clinic. After one experience with medical boarding, we knew we could never put her through that again. We spent weeks searching for a place that could board both dogs and offer daycare services. When I called, I spoke with Elizabeth and explained our situation. She reassured me that they would take great care of our dogs, I immediately knew we had found the right place. Both dogs started at the West location (formerly Homewood Pet Resort), and we were amazed by the attention they received. Elizabeth and her team sent photos and updates regularly, and we could even watch our dogs during daycare. We also received a detailed summary for our diabetic dog who seemed less anxious when being cared for there. Sadly, our diabetic dog passed away in August, and we were deeply grateful for the compassionate care and support the Parkwood team provided during that difficult time. I was apprehensive to leave my American Pit Bull Terrier, Maggie, for an overnight stay because I wasn’t sure how she’d interact with other dogs for an extended period of time. However, the staff at Parkwood Pet Resort West were reassuring and helpful with the transition from her being at home with us to being around other dogs. Particularly, Aspen was exceptional in her tour, explaining how things work, and her instant connection with Maggie. Maggie quickly acclimated when she did her temperament test with two of their more playful dogs, and it put my spirits at ease to know she would be in capable and loving hands. Staff members sent me the attached two pictures to show how Maggie was doing, and my heart absolutely warmed up to see her having so much fun in our absence—which was especially comforting because I was far away from home on a road trip. When I picked her up, Mecca and Aspen both spoke highly of how well she did with playtime, and she clearly enjoyed her stay because she interacted well with the both of them. Our pup LOVES this place, and so do we! We’ve utilized them for both boarding and day care, and every staff member we’ve encountered has been amazing and you can really tell they care about the dogs. The little touches they have make the experience A++! The very first time we ever dropped her off for a stay the staff greeted her by name as we walked in, we love the pictures they send everyday, and the fact that they have the live feeds and we get to see our girl even when we’re hundreds of miles away from her provides us with so much peace of mind. 10/10 would recommend!

My dog absolutely LOVES it here!!! They have incredible customer service, are very consistent, and truly care about the dogs. I feel very comforted knowing that they take such good care of my girl - and that she gets to be outside! I love the photo updates throughout her visit and it is a plus when she comes home all tuckered out. I have tried other daycares before and was never satisfied but Parkwood has only ever exceeded my expectations!

We absolutely love this place! Our dog, Finn, has the best time every time he goes. They send us two pictures of him every day, which we look forward to so much! The staff is so kind and clearly cares about all the dogs. Finn gets to run and play with all his friends, and the water area is his absolute favorite part! He’s always so excited to go to daycare.
