I’ve been a loyal customer of Pampered Pets in the East Islip location for quite some time and have always appreciated the quality of their grooming services. My dog has been groomed beautifully here in the past, and prices were always fair and reasonable for the work performed. However, during my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed. I had been out of town, and while my dog was with my husband and son, she became severely matted. When I brought her in for her scheduled grooming appointment, a young lady came out to inform me that Jamie had quoted $230. The young lady said she wanted to charge $250. The young lady herself seemed surprised by that quote. I declined the service and instead called the Pampered Pets location (Merrick), where Devin told me that the price for a severely matted dog would typically range from $125–$165. That confirmed my feeling that the quote I received was excessive. It honestly felt like an “I don’t want to do it” price. While Jamie is a talented groomer and my dog has always looked great after her visits, this wasn’t the first time I’ve had an uncomfortable experience. I took my cat in for a lion cut, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Joanne did an incredible job especially—his fur is perfectly trimmed, soft, and even, with a clean and stylish mane that makes him look like a little lion. They were so gentle and patient, making sure he was comfortable the entire time. The attention to detail was impressive, and you can tell they truly care about the animals they groom. My cat looks adorable and feels so much better without all the extra fur. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch grooming!

There is no one on this planet who takes care of my cats like MANDY. She is the best and probably the ONLY cat groomer. I am so happy to have found her. My cats love her so much they never cry when I drop them off to get groomed. She is my #1 favorite cat whisperer!

Before relocating to Long Island I had a groomer who used to come to our home to groom my cat. Because of this, I was so nervous to drop him off and not be able to stay while he was groomed ... but they did NOT disappoint! They helped me to feel comfortable about the process, were reasonably priced and responsive, and my little guy came out looking awesome and in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone after today!
