I love this little store! It had all your pet needs! My favorite is the decorated dog cookies! I get one for each of my girls for their birthday! The staff is always friendly and smiling when I go!

This is the ultimate bougie boutique dog store. Whether you have a small or big dog, it is 100% worth the trip. First, it's owned by a local couple which I go out of my way to shop local. Second. They are totally invested in this community which makes it even better, and the cherry on top is all of the magical goodies they have for dogs. Every detail in this store appears to be curated to catch the eye of even the most discerning dog fanciers. Beyond the aesthetics, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The owners clearly. Love dogs. On the day we visited One owner was helping us pick out goodies from the bakery and the other was on the floor giving back scratchies to our dog. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Mixed Mutt & Company just celebrated their first year, and what a fantastic addition they’ve been to the community! When we stopped in, we met Don, who told us about Mixed Mutt Creamery, their locally made pet treat line right here in Independence. It’s such a fun twist that while your dog enjoys their special treat, you can grab something tasty for yourself too! This store takes pride in American-made products, focusing on quality and craftsmanship. The variety is impressive—everything from toys, leashes, treats, and clothes to creative community events that bring pet lovers together. They even recently hosted public dog birthdays, parades, and “Barkcuterie” classes, where you can learn how to cook fun treats for your furry friend. The atmosphere is clean, bright, and inviting—clearly designed with both pets and people in mind. It’s more than just a pet store; it’s a place that celebrates the bond between humans and their dogs. If you’re looking for a fun outing with your pup, Mixed Mutt & Company is the perfect destination. Bring your dog, make new friends, and experience the ultimate in pet-friendly fun and community spirit! 🐾🎉
