About Melrose Pet Grooming
Located at 5770 Melrose Ave Children's Reading, Los Angeles, CA 90038, Melrose Pet Grooming operates as a pet groomer serving Los Angeles in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Los Angeles, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Melrose Pet Grooming at (323) 993-1959; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is melrosegrooming.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 99 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pet groomers in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

first time at this groomers and I will NEVER go back. The lady goomer (or lack there of) chopped my pomeranian's hair to death.. I asked for an outline trim which mean scissor cut/thinning shears. She butchered her. I went to my dog and ask for them to even it up, she proceeds to get the clippers back out and do more. She made my dog so anxious and she's always happy at the groomers. This lady was pulling her by her back leg and tail. She has nicked her butt in two places down to the skin. it look like she has a face on her butt..I got so mad I said i'd correct it at home. I never told them to shave her stomach...If anyone knows anything about this breed they have to be cut a certain way...This lady need fired IMMEDIATELY she should NOT be a groomer. Then still proceeded to charge me. I have never been so mad at a groomers. The guy who does the washes was very kind an apologized she never once took any accountability. DO NOT TRUST YOUR PETS HERE... DO NOT GO HERE if you dont want your dog mistreated

I recently moved from another state and was looking for a new groomer. Because my previous experience was excellent, I do have higher expectations, but this visit was very disappointing. Positives: the location is convenient, the price is reasonable ($85 for a cat bath), and the staff was friendly. However, the grooming itself did not meet expectations. It seemed like my cats were not properly blow-dried and were instead left to air dry, since they continued shedding heavily afterward. I also brought them in with dandruff, and it was still clearly visible after the bath. One of my cats is long-haired and had mats. I specifically requested mat removal, but she came back with mats still present. The most upsetting part: I asked for a light trim on the back of her legs, but instead her belly was shaved — something I did NOT request. I honestly don’t understand what happened. It also wasn’t even — some areas are much shorter than others. Overall, I feel like my requests were not followed, and I’m left very disappointed with the results. I won’t be returning and will be looking for a different groomer.

The people who work here are awesome definitely not top tier but the prices are reasonable and the job is well done. I’ve been bringing my dogs since forever. He left my dog George ,RIP, amazing he was a malshi with a thicc tail omg he did a great job . I recently adopted Freddie an old man and he did a great job with nails shaving and brushing. Only thing was the ears were not the cleanest still had hair and crusties but I’ll emphasize next time. Overall pretty great price for service.

Please don’t take your pets to this pet grooming. It’s the worst place ever. I took in my dog at 8:30am didn’t get him back till 2:40pm it’s ridiculous. For the job they did, I could of done it my self. My dog is a Bichon Frise. Not a mutt wanna be poodle. I’m so disappointed at the lack of care, interest and negligence coming from owner and staff, let me tell you that is the owner who does the grooming. See for your self the one the right is how they left him, I could of done it my self. I don’t even think their license. Horrible..

My cat came home happily. I used to bring her to petco, and it was horrible over there, they gave her unfinished cut and she was mad at me and hide. However, after coming home from this shop, she was happy and run around.
