Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Los Angeles keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. You can reach K-9 Tubs at (323) 669-1677; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 11 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in Los Angeles and suggests consistent service.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Our dog hated going to the groomer, we tried them all. K9 was recommended to us by one of our neighbors, what a hidden neighborhood gem. Jasue has transformed our little man Pierogi since he’s first visit. He can’t wait to go now, he pulls me from the car and runs in the open door to the little lobby. We are always greeted by name and never felt more comfortable leaving my dog anywhere. We’ve been going to k9 since we moved to Silver Lake in 2019. Couldn’t be happier- LOVE THIS PLACE XO TIM. Yasue is amazing. She is so gentle and takes her time, and listens to your pet so if they have sensitive spots or matting she very gently removes it. Coco was so relieved to get rid of her matted fur. She really responded well to Yasue.

We love Yasui and have been taking our dogs to her for decades. She is a gem of a human being.

K-9 has taken care of all my dogs over the last 20 years. I'd been to other groomers before and once I saw how Yasue treats my animals, and how beautiful they are when she's done, I knew we would go no where else. Even when my dogs were old and grumpy, Yasue always made them look like a million bucks. And the couple of times one is my dogs investigated the white-striped black cat in the backyard... She managed to get 99% of the smell off! Yasue is like family to me because she treats my family members so well.
