When John Walton works with your dog you'll see immediate results. His training methods are second to none. I have a 5 month old Chow Chow ( known as a tough nut to Crack). John immediately had Lucy Liu listening to commands. Not with treats , not with threats but with love , hugs and praise. If you go into this with a commitment to listen to John and DO the homework assignments , you'll be as happy as I am. He has my highest possible recommendation.

EXCELLENT trainer! No "cookie" training, as I have found it does not work, especially if your dog is not food motivated. No "e-colllars" formerly and correctly known as shock collars. Only reasonable, kind and effective training. I thought my 8 year old crazy rescue was beyond repair, and after John's training, he is a sweet, obedient and most of all HAPPY guy! Don't be fooled by treat or pain methods used by so-called trainers; many too young or fly-by-night. If you love your dog - Call John. He knows dogs and he knows what he is doing. He's been training dogs succesfully fo 43 years. He changed my dog's life.

John is the most amazing dog trainer. He was the 3rd trainer we had for our 2 yr old rowdy border collie/blue healer mix pup. We were at our wits end. John taught us how to effectively communicate and respond to our pup. I’m not sure where we’d be today had we not hired John. Don’t hesitate in hiring John.

Our strong-willed, 15 month old, Airedale Terrier just completed basic training from John and she is such a pleasure to enjoy the outside world with now. John evokes love and respect from the dog which brings out a willingness in the dog to want to obey and please the owner. (Without the use of treat after treat!) When he shows you a training technique, he explains the "why" behind it. He genuinely cared about our dog and encouraged us to call him between lessons with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend John Walton for any of your training needs!🐕

John is absolutely amazing. He is the best dog trainer in Sarasota, FL!! He has a way with dogs that I have never seen before. With just 3 weeks of him coming to our home and working with our dogs, we have seen a tremendous improvement. He shows you what to do but also explains why and how it works. He truly cares about your dogs success and is always there if you need to call him to ask him questions. Our two dogs have grown so much with commands, listening and their self confidence has gone way up. I could not thank John enough for making our dogs lives amazing!! I recommend John Walton's School For Dogs to anyone who lives in the Sarasota, FL surrounding area!
