Can’t say enough good things about James and Executive Dog Lounge. My pup has been going for years. Safety and communication are key - when we started, my dog was going through some serious separation anxiety. We started with half days and worked our way up slowly and intentionally. Now, she pulls me all the way over and jumps at the door to get in. Completely changed her behavior. This is the place for your pup if you’re in DTJC.

When it comes to doggy day care in downtown Jersey City, there is the executive dog lounge and then there is everything else. The lounge is in a tier of its own when it comes to professionalism, personalized care, cleanliness, and reliability in providing a truly special environment for small dogs. We moved to the area at the start of the pandemic and realized fast that we needed to find a daycare for our small dog (16 lbs) who was very much used to having us around all day. James, EDL’s owner and manager, was gracious about letting our dog get used to the daycare environment while also being clear about behavior and scheduling expectations to make sure all the dogs are supervised safely. Almost six years later, we're moving out of the neighborhood but could not be more thankful for the lounge and neither could our little guy. At the lounge, poochies are “kids” and we are the “parents,” which says a lot about how things are run. No larger dogs or aggressive behavior tolerated. Dogs get multiple walks per day, eat their lunch separately, and get such personalized attention it sometimes feels like we get a daily report card into how our little guy’s doing. EDL is the best! We moved out of state, but we still think about what a great experience our Georgia girl had every time she went to daycare there. James really knows each dog and their personality and quirks and is very knowledgeable about dog behavior in general. He was also flexible and understanding when things came up on our side. Thanks, Executive Dog Lounge, for taking care of our baby for the years we lived in JC 🥰

Our puppy Nathan had a great 3 day stay at this lounge made good friends with the staff...we recommend it and we will definitely come back if needed...plus next door the have grooming place if you need to have your pet groomed...
