About Dog Days

In Tempe, daycares and kennels usually ask for proof of rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccinations and a short temperament test before the first stay. Across Arizona, holiday weekends and summer book out weeks ahead, so reserve early and ask about pickup windows, which can be shorter on Sundays. Pet sitters and walkers should be insured and bonded; ask for references and a meet-and-greet first. Check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6:30 am–7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dog Days at (480) 894-8400; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, dogdaystempe.com.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 103 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dog daycare in Tempe.
Tempe is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Getting around Tempe is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Arizona's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Dog Days has been great with my dog. You can tell the staff genuinely cares and treats the dogs really well. My dog always comes home happy and excited to go back. Really appreciate the great care and friendly team. Highly recommend!

After 7 years of being a loyal customer I will not be bringing my dog here anymore. They have gone downhill. Gabby is miserable every time she works. She should hire more employees or just close down her business if she’s so frustrated with the dogs. I did not appreciate my dog being manhandled. He’s a 12lb chihuahua (she did apologize). My dog has been scared of Mike lately. He has come home twice gulping down a bowl of water dehydrated. I no longer have peace of mind bringing him here. The only employees that seem nice are the others young ladies who are rarely there. Unfortunately it’s mainly Mike/Gabby running things.

I get really nervous about leaving my 3 yr old bernedoodle, Stanley with anyone! However, Michael was very knowledgeable, patient and understanding that Stan can get some separation anxiety (due to me working at home/and Stan being my bestie🐶. Michael said he had a great time and made friends with another dog there and I believe it! Stanley has been doing the biggest sleepies since we got home! We’ll definitely be back and would encourage anyone who wants their dog(s) to be well looked after and to support a local business to go to Dog Days!

I have visited five different dog day cares in Tempe area and I think Dog Days is the best. All the staff here is friendly. The indoor and outdoor play areas are nice and clean. Look how happy my boston terrier is at the daycare! Thank you Dog Days for taking good care of my baby!

We love this place and so do our dogs. The staff is super friendly and they take very good care our our girls. The owners really take the time to get to know the dogs. They have really helped our rescue, Rosie, come out of her shell.
