One of the few beaches around LA where dogs can roam free and enjoy the sand and ocean. There are lots of dogs (obviously) and owners need to ensure they still have voice control over their dogs. Have seen an incident every time I’ve visited because of owners who cannot control their dogs. This is not a place to let your untrained or aggressive dog roam free!

Excellent place for the kids and pets Dogs allowed to run without a leash and for the most users clean after the pets and prevent issues with others. Parking is small so prepare to wait and respect others, use the app or pay with coins or plastic. Family love it

Great place to bring your dogs but ONLY IF THEY ARE DOG FRIENDLY as there are many friendly dogs off leash. I do not recommend bringing your dog here if it is not friendly even if you keep it leashed as there are many friendly doggos running free

We have only been there at sunset mostly because I'm that is our last walk of the day. The only complaint I have is that we often find dead birds along the shore. I understand that birds are suffering from malnutrition because of El Nino and lack of food because the fish have gone into deeper and cooler water and the birds can't reach them. It is very sad.

The name says it all, not a dog owner myself, but I ride my bike around the Huntington Beach Pier about 4 times a week, I love watching all the pups run and play down along the beach. Never over crowded, definitely one of my favorite spots to stop by and get a nice dose of" Dogamine " from getting to pet all the different pups. Great spot to catch a beautiful Sunset as well.
