Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. We’ve boarded our (picky) senior dog, Fanny, several times with Dirty Dawgs and know she is handled with extreme care every time! The service we’ve experienced here is top tier and I wouldn’t trust her to be left anywhere else tbh. They take the time to understand your dog’s needs and what it takes to make their stay not just comfortable, but enjoyable. Very grateful to have this team as an option when we’re out of town!

I almost never leave one-star reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so other dog owners can make an informed decision. I’m new to Tucson and needed boarding for my Golden Retriever while I took a two-day trip to California. After seeing good reviews for Dirty Dogs, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, the experience was full of red flags from the very beginning. Every time I called, my calls went unanswered. Instead, they would text me immediately saying everything had to be done online. I’m not great with online portals, so I asked if I could just come in and complete everything in person. I was told no. It all had to be done online. It wasn’t until I texted that I was about to use another facility that someone finally called me. Since my dog had never been there before, she needed a temperament assessment. I wanted to bring her in a few days early so I could see the facility and make sure she was comfortable, but I would have been charged for that visit. They suggested I simply do the assessment on the morning of boarding, free of charge, so I trusted their recommendation. The morning of drop-off, I received a reminder text at 7:53 AM saying dogs had to

Best daycare I’ve found for my hyper active husky, Luna bear. She goes 3-5 days a week and is so happy. The excitement to get into the car every morning is adorable and she is always wagging her tail when they open the door (she isn’t a big tail wagged) so I know she loves this place!

You can just tell everyone here love dogs, and I see how well cared for my dogs are when I'm away. When I picked up my three dogs this week, Odie (the gentle big lab mix in the middle) greeted me happily, then he turned back to lean against an employee and get petted one last time before jumping into my car. I think he would've been perfectly happy staying 😂. The staff knows each dog (and their unique needs and silly quirks) so well, and it feels good to know they're not only safe, but also getting appropriate mental and physical engagement.

We absolutely love Dirty Dawgs! Our boxer, Manu, goes several times a week and genuinely gets so excited every time, we know he’s having the best time. The team really knows Manu which makes the transitions easy. We found Dirty Dawgs because we were looking for an option to board Manu when we go on vacation and found an affordable doggy daycare which is truly a bonus. We feel so lucky to have found a place we trust this much.
