In Bellevue, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Washington, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Bellevue is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Bellevue is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Washington's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I brought my senior miniature schnauzer for a full groom here per neighbor's recommendations. They were not able to finish the grooming because my dog got very nervous and uncomfortable so I was only charged for the bath. I give it a 5 star because I really appreciate their honesty and values, they could have forced her or treat her bad to finish the grooming but they didn't! So I prefer honesty instead, thanks!

Keith always makes Rollo look so handsome! He gets hand stripped which is probably more tedious than a regular grooming. We love his work and appreciate what he’s done for our boy. Thank you Keith!

I have been taking my 2 dogs and long-haired cat to Der Pet Haus for years. It’s the kind of place where you can tell people really enjoy what they are doing and they seem to retain their staff for years. I don’t book with any one specific groomer and, despite that, I know my pets will come back looking exactly as we discussed before the appointment. I can tell that my pets have been well taken care of when I pick them up. On more than one occasion I’ve come to find them snuggling at the front desk. Der Pet Haus is a rare find in a time where more and more things become impersonal and rushed.

I have been taking my labradoodles to Der Pet Haus to see Keith for the last 6 years. Keith and his staff are always professional, kind, flexible and make the process so easy. Keith has the "teddy bear cut" for doodles down to a science and I often get asked where I get them groomed. I have gone to MANY other groomers over the years and nobody does it better!

Der Pet Haus has been our groomer for the last 3 years, and will continue to be the only place we go! They were able to groom our epileptic and very feisty Pomeranian, and offer a rate for rush appointments which helps us reduce his stress/the chance he'll have a seizure. The staff are definitely "dog people" and treat our pups with love and respect. The staff always abides by our grooming preferences and requests (no shaving, etc) and give the best cuts that suit our dogs' breed. Couldn't recommend more!
