In Sacramento, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Sacramento peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Del Paso Grooming is truly a hidden gem for me and my furbabies! From start to finish, the whole team made the experience so positive and stress free. Heather was incredibly patient and calm with my big guy and you can tell she genuinely cares and wants both pets and owners to feel comfortable. My long-haired German Shepherd’s grooming had unfortunately fallen to the back burner due to a rollercoaster ride of life, but Heather gave him the full works including working carefully through some matted areas and carefully shaved an area that needed it. It was not a rushed service by any means and I appreciated the time and care she gave him. He left looking so handsome and his fur was SO soft and fluffy. While I sat and waited for my dogs full service, I got to see and observe Butch with 4 other dogs and he was so attentive and sweet with the dogs he groomed. I got the chance to see him interact and groom 4 small dogs and he made it look effortless, one of them was giving him kisses and he just snuggled them back. It was really sweet to see that. Suzie at the front was kind and welcoming and was easy to talk to. She answered all my questions and definitely made me feel comfortable.

I first met the owners/groomers when I needed thoughtful, caring and experienced groomers for my giant New Foundland. When she died, at age three, Heather(owner) cried. That truly warmed my heart. And then came Benjamin, my sweet Shih Tzu. And, again, Del Paso Grooming, has been incredibly thoughtful to my Benjamin Bratt. I can’t tell you just how important these people are to me. My animals are my family and they know they are safe with these very special people. ♥️🐾

So it was My babys first time getting groomed. I initially had to reschedule and they were super cool about it. The second time my baby's shots were expired. They referred me next door to the vet and kept my appointment. They are super Chill and nice. My baby looks so handsome. 45$ for wash, cut, gland cleaning, and nail clip. Awesome! I will be back
