Wanted to post this review as a testament to the loving care provided to our cat “Baby” by all the folks at “Cats in the City”, Tabor location. Sadly, Baby passed away recently at the age of 21. When we travel Baby was always cared for with a great deal of love and compassion by Cats in the City. We believe she had a wonderful life, and she certainly made our lives better through her presence. For a cat of her advanced age, it was important to find a place that could really provide the hands-on daily care and attention she needed as well as feedback to us daily that she was doing well. We will always be grateful for the caring attention given to our precious “Baby” Special thanks to Lisa, Skye, Dan, Riely, Emma and Aaron. We so appreciate that you treated her like family and gave her love and attention when we couldn’t be with her.

We have an anxious, semi-feral cat that we’ve kenneled at CITC several times. Mao always does well and the staff is careful to respect her needs and boundaries. This time we added the full grooming experience as Mao doesn’t self-groom and her coat felt yucky. We picked her up with trepidation as we weren’t sure if she’d hold a grudge. On the contrary, Mao literally started strutting around the house showing off how good she feels!! Plus she is now more adventurous and explores more of the house!! Clearly the grooming made her feel better. It’s an astonishing result. We’ll be bringing her back for periodic grooming as her change in demeanor is absolutely worth it!

I booked a room for my cat, 11 nights of cat boarding over the holidays. They were not my first choice due to the extremely high cost but I did it out of necessity (every other spot in my area was completely booked). I spend less on myself when I book Airbnb's, for the same amount of days! I paid a 50% deposit. A couple days before my cat was going to Cats in the City, his normal boarding spot had an unexpected opening. Boarding my cat for 11 nights, AND getting him a groom at his normal boarder was less $$ than the 50% deposit. I cancelled my booking with Cats in the City. The reason for this low review is that they offer no reimbursement of the 50% deposit. Over the course of several weeks I talked to different folks, they all responded within a day or two of me reaching out and they were understanding. Each person said that their policy is no $$ back for cancelled bookings. I understand that me booking the room might have prevented others from booking it (and, admittedly, I cancelled about 4 days before my cat was supposed to be there). They might have filled the room after the cancellation (extra reason to reimburse me) or they may not have (also a reason to reimburse me if I

My three kitties were so happy during their stay! Here are some of the things I appreciated: -Daily email updates that put my mind at ease while traveling -Spacious rooms that offer plenty of stimulation, such as windows that provide views of birds and squirrels -Capable staff who had no problem administering asthma medication to my orange baby -Two sets of doors at the entrance, ensuring that cats don’t escape (the kitties take turns roaming the main area so they can get outside their rooms and have play time) -Aaron is a gem! He clearly loves cats and patiently answered my many questions Worth every penny, and I’ll be bringing back my fur babies many times in the future.

This was our cat’s second time staying with “Cats in the City” (August 2026) since adopting her. Zoe is shy by nature but the staff are quick to recognize this and see that she’s comfortable in her room. We brought her favorite food items for her stay. They have plenty of cat-inspired toys, bedding and climbing areas. We truly appreciated the daily updates and pictures while she stayed with them. She is a big part of our lives as a family member. A big “paws” up for they really understand every cat is just a little bit different in terms of needs. We also have used their grooming services at a facility near to this boarding house. She usually gets the “Teddy Bear” cut in the spring so as to cut down on hairballs. Check out their website and see their “tandem grooming” methodology. Thank you all for taking good care of Zoe.
