About Bone Appetit Barkery

Certified dog and cat groomers. Akc SAFE certified and a Certified Fear Free Groomer.

Bone Appetit Barkery is a pet groomer in Kearny, New Jersey. It is listed at 169 Midland Ave, Kearny, NJ 07032, which places it among the local businesses of Kearny that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Kearny is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Kearny follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Wonderful experience all around. We had some bad experiences with past groomers, and our pup got in rough shape with her coat because she was so terrified to let anyone near her to cut. The staff here were so incredibly kind to her and made her feel at ease. They took their time over several visits to make sure the job was done right. We will be regular customers from now on.

Very disappointed with the grooming service. We brought in two dogs, each with different coats and grooming needs, yet they both received exactly the same haircut. It seemed like no attention was given to their individual appearance or the instructions we provided. The grooming quality was not what we expected, and both dogs came back looking almost identical despite being different dogs. We trusted them with our pets and expected a personalized service, but unfortunately that was not the case. This was our first visit, and sadly it will also be our last. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this groomer based on our experience.

They always take such good care of my husky blue and leave him clean and happy. Blue is also very happy and comfortable to get groomed which is the best part since he won’t be anxious or upset about being dropped off or groomed.

My family has been going to Bone Apetit since it opened its doors. We’ve brought all of our dogs to be groomed by them throughout the years, including our 4 yorkies, mix breed and Australian labradoodle. They know how to cut each breed’s hair properly and they always come home looking and smelling their best. We appreciate that they always consider the needs of each individual dog. We appreciate that they take their time when one would feel nervous. They’ve done exceptional treatment on our dog that got sprayed by a skunk. They also took care of her when she had a seizure within the shop itself. We know they value our pets and treat them kindly, always. We don’t live in town anymore, but we make the drive from several towns away still because they’re the best. We recommend them to all of our friends.

My puppies had a great experience! This was their first time at this groomer and everyone was so kind and it showed how much they cared for them. They came back very clean, happy and super cute. 100% recommend we will definitely be going back! ☺️
