I visited Barkin Creek on Rainey this Sunday where Gage was the one in charge of grooming my 8 month old Cavapoo, Dreamer. The session was cut short due to improper handle of my pet as there were chemicals that got into his eyes!!! Instead of taking accountability, Gage tried to make it seem that my dog arrived with extremely irritated eyes which he tried to cover up by saying he flushed Dreamer’s eyes with eye wash as if he had shown up like that!! I asked for him to send me a photo and video of his eyes which were obviously extremely red and discharging and from his eyes to where they were not retracting. He tried to downplay it and said he was completely fine and normal looking to which I let him know that it was absolutely abnormal and alarming for his eyes to look like that. Anyone in their right mind could agree to that. I would like to show you the conversation had as this is completely unacceptable. I immediately took him to the emergency vet to where they found ulcers in his eye because of his visit to your establishment. Dreamer has been crying ever since and not acting like himself because of the irritation and i have been giving him medication every 6 hours as instructe

I cannot recommend Barkin Creek Dog Salon enough—especially Hailey! This was my dog’s first time somewhere that didn’t send him back saying they “couldn’t demat” and we had to cut it all. Hailey was incredibly patient, skilled, and clearly knew exactly what she was doing. She took the time to work through everything instead of giving up, and the results were amazing. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs and takes pride in her work. My dog came out looking great, happy, and comfortable—which has honestly never happened before at other places. If you’ve struggled finding a groomer who can actually handle more challenging coats or situations, Hailey is the one. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It’s so great when I find a groomer and my dog is actually super excited about going to see all the people that work there. My dog Bowie is super fond of all of the groomers at Barkin Creek and I would like to take a moment to think all you all for the magnificent job they do Bowie and I love you guys.

Hannah did a great job with Cosmo today! He’s still an 8 month Goldendoodle and she was patient with him. He was evenly groomed everywhere and looked very polished. We’ve already gotten so many compliments 😊

I initially booked an appointment for my puppies first spa day but I was running super late due to Austin rush hour traffic. I called Barkin and they were understanding and rescheduled me to come in the next day! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rodrigo was able to de-shed and clean up my samoyed. Impressed and very pleased.
