We brought our young puppy to Barkin’ Creek Domain today for a full bath and groom. Before the appointment, the groomer, Shae, explained that because he is still young, she wasn’t sure how much patience he would have for a full grooming session. We completely understood and would have been fine with her stopping the service if she felt he wasn’t ready. Unfortunately, the experience and communication were very disappointing. We were contacted by the front desk while we were literally walking back into the business to pick him up and were told that his bath was completed, but the sanitary grooming areas could not be done. We were also told that he had peed and pooped and that there was blood present, which was extremely alarming to us. When we received him, he was still wet, had an eye booger stuck and smushed into the hair around his eye, and appeared to have barely been combed. We had to clean and comb around his eye ourselves once we got home. What concerned us most was his behavior afterward. I’ve been bringing my dog in every 8 weeks for about a year, and in that time his groom price has gone from $90 to $120, and today, when I tried to book my next appointment, I was told it’s now $150. Each increase is only communicated to me at the time of booking or at the time of checkout. Never in advance. Their website still lists $90-120 for the 1-20 lb range, and my dog is well within that bracket at 15 lbs, so there’s a real gap between what’s advertised and what’s actually charged. My dog is also an easy groom: never matted, always clean, just a straightforward shave. I understand pricing can change, but I’d expect it to be reflected transparently on the website, especially for loyal, low-maintenance clients. I was also told today that their pricing was updated as of June 15th (over a month ago). Why hasn't it been updated on the website if prices changed over a month ago? Since I couldn’t get clarity on why the price keeps jumping or when the website will actually reflect transparent pricing, I’m going to look for another groomer. I’ve really appreciated Hannah’s work as a groomer, but I don’t feel good paying consistently-climbing prices that aren’t disclosed upfront.

We got our old German shepherd groomed and de shedded, they did an amazing job! He actually smells clean and is ready for the Texas summer! The staff was incredibly friendly. Definitely coming back here!

The absolute best!!!! I’ve had German shepherds/dogs all my life and I was truly blown away with how good of a job they did. My dogs have been shedding less and we brought them a handful of dogs. We have 4. Each of them smelled so good and they were so shiny! I’m bringing them back again. My babies were so happy and i am a hard person to please and be wowed. I am so happy :) and the staff was so kind :)

I take 2 small dogs here for grooming and they always do a fantastic job. The blueberry facial scent after grooming just makes me want to snuggle into them! I am very picky about who I’d entrust my fur babies to and I do not remotely worry about Barkin Creek. Staff is great, friendly and dog loving. Collin at the front desk is awesome. I also regularly take them for their nail trims and sanitary clean up, which is a very quick process. Can’t rave enough about this place!
