Chattanooga is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Chattanooga is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Tennessee's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Wow! Just wow! We truly cannot say enough good things about Jake at Anvil Training! We're from Chattanooga, TN, so having such an incredible trainer right here in the area has been amazing. Before training, our pit bull, Rufus, struggled so much that we couldn’t even walk him without being yanked around in every direction. We had to constantly avoid other dogs and even people, which made apartment living incredibly stressful. Before training, anytime Rufus saw another dog or person it sent us into immediate panic and he would snap right away dragging us and barking. We enrolled him in the 3-week Board & Train program, and he came home like a brand new dog. He still has his goofy, fun personality, but now he has the confidence, manners, and obedience we always hoped for. One of the first update photos Jake sent us completely shocked us—Rufus was snuggled up next to a smaller dog with two other dogs nearby! Before training, that would have been absolutely unimaginable. Now we can confidently take him out in public and walk right past kids, adults, and other animals without worrying. The progress he's made is incredible, and it's honestly changed our lives. Jake provided a safe, struc

We had the pleasure of adopting our dog, Beau from Jake. We waited a couple of weeks before writing this because it’s easy to be excited the first day you bring a dog home. We wanted to see what life looked like once everyone settled in. After two weeks, I can honestly say Beau has been everything Jake said he would be. He’s housebroken, crate trained, great with people and other dogs, and has made the transition into our home about as smoothly as we could have hoped. The biggest surprise is that every few days we discover something else he already knows. It’s clear Jake spent a lot of time building a solid foundation instead of just teaching commands. What I appreciate most is that Beau still acts like a young dog. He gets excited, he has opinions about squirrels, and he’s still learning. The training didn’t make him robotic, it just gave him structure and confidence. We’re only two weeks in, so I’m sure there will be things we’ll continue working on together over the next several years. The foundation that has built will make all the difference. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better-trained dog at a year and a half old. Jake did an incredible job, and we’re grateful B

May 13, 3026 We boarded our 20 month old Labrador Retriever Lucy for the 4 week training program at Anvil K-9 School. We picked her up to come home a few days ago. The owner trainer Jake Mumford did a great job. Lucy is now a very obedient dog. Of all the dog/owner routines, going for a walk is fantastic and so much more enjoyable. She is totally compliant to the “heel” command and the sit and down commands. We met Jake for a pickup and turnover “owner” training at Lowe’s. We spent 2 hours going through all the commands and tips, and getting comfortable with our new obedience routines as owners. We feel so much more confidant and understanding about how to maintain and reinforce both dog and owner behavior patterns. I highly recommend Anvil K-9 School. Ken Aupperle

We are so glad we sent our 5-month old lab puppy to Jake for 3 weeks of board and train! We were a little nervous to part with her, but Jake was very kind, professional, experienced, and clearly loves dogs. While she was in training, we got regular progress updates and when he brought her back home, he spent 1:1 time with us to make sure her training translated to our home environment. She’s still a playful pup, but she listens when we give her a cue and seems much more able to regulate. We’ve had her back home for two months and she’s doing great! We highly recommend Jake as a dog trainer.

I recently sent my dog, Louis, to Anvil K9 Dog Training, and I cannot express how happy I am with the results! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this setting was a perfect fit. Jake is not only experienced and knowledgeable, but also has a genuine love for dogs that shines through in every interaction. He took the time to get to know Louis' personality and tailored the training methods to suit his needs. I was amazed at how quickly Louis picked up on the new commands & the updates and videos provided allowed me to feel involved in the progress. I wholeheartedly recommend Anvil K9 Training to anyone looking for a transformative training experience for their dog. We will definitely be back for boarding!
