Chattanooga is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chattanooga follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My wife and I have two dogs, one 3 year old Shih Tzu mix that had a previous abusive situation and lacks any confidence, and one 2 year old toy poodle who just needed some basic training on leash and commands. John has been our saving grace. He is so kind, so passionate about his work, and gave us peace of mind from the very first lesson. He is always available when needed throughout the week as we worked on what we learned during each lesson. After five weeks of fundamental training, both dogs have a much better understanding of us and our commands. We can’t say enough good things about John, and excited to further this training for their lifetime with him and his team!

Marco was very knowledgeble and easy to work with. Friendly, kind to our dog. Sent videos of training, impressed with his training and calmness. Marco kept us informed and up to date on the training progress. Very good teaching the family how to implement the training and continue with the progress. Very happy! Paisley went from being very reactive to mildly interested in other people.

Tizzy was an absolute pleasure to work with. He always had a good attitude and great pointers for both my dog Billie and myself. He was also so patient with my not so patient pup. Although it was only 5 weeks, I can already see such a big difference in Billie’s behavior!!

Animal Behavior Center did an amazing job with my Great Pyrenees. He came to us with a few behaviors and we finally got him through a few of those. He is also starting his journey on becoming a service dog due to the help of ABC. I will be bringing my other 2 dogs to him for training. I couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful. Thank you all!!

Working with John was the best decision we could’ve made for our reactive dog. John’s thoughtful approach helped us understand Willie’s behavior and gave us practical tools to build his confidence and improve his reactions. When we started working with John, Willie was highly reactive — barking, lunging, and clearly stressed. We felt overwhelmed and unsure how to help him. Walks were stressful and we constantly worried about his outburst when he would see another dog. John changed everything. He approached Willie with patience, compassion, and deep understanding. His training gave us clear, realistic steps and the confidence to follow through. Over time, Willie became calmer, more responsive, and much easier to handle. We learned how to identify Willie‘s body language and nonverbal signals that showed us when he was stressed, and when he was learning to cope with his stressors. John was able to use his own dogs, and fellow trainers with their dogs, to help provide us real life scenarios to help Willie work through his issues. I’m incredibly grateful for John’s patience, knowledge, and support. If you’re struggling with a reactive dog, he’s the person you want in your corner.
