4 On the Floor Dog Training & Behavior Consulting

We feel so fortunate to have found Kelly, the owner and main trainer at 4 On The Floor Dog Training! Our dog, Bailey was 8½ years old when we enrolled him in the first level of the Good Canine Citizen program. Our experience with a well-known training program when he was a puppy had felt arduous and unenjoyable, and we didn’t even finish the class and our dog didn't benefit The atmosphere at Kelly’s is truly night and day. We’re now in the third level of the program, and Bailey is thriving—we’re thoroughly enjoying it, too! We even arranged for our dog sitter to bring him while we were away so he wouldn’t miss a class. Kelly genuinely loves her work!! She is firm yet incredibly warm & caring and the dogs pay attention and respond to her. We cannot recommend Kelly and this program highly enough. A dog is never too old to learn and be challenged!

I took the Canine Good Citizen class at 4otF! It was really helpful to learn skills like not jumping on strangers, ignoring other dogs, and loose leash walking in a positive-reinforcement setting. I really appreciated the super detailed homework we got every week so I had the tools to practice at home. We passed the CGC test on our first try, I couldn't believe it! I also love that my pup is completely tuckered out after class from all the brain work!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review We have been working with 4 on the Floor Dog Training since our English Mastiff, Poppy, was a puppy. She is now 1.5 years old and serves as a service dog for MS and cancer. From the very beginning, Kelly Citrin has been a guiding light in our journey. I first knew Kelly from her work at the Montgomery County Humane Society, and I always hoped that one day she would train my future dog. When I reached out to her before even bringing Poppy home, she offered invaluable advice and guidance that set us on the right path from day one. Since then, we’ve consistently participated in classes at the 4 on the Floor center, in the community, and through private lessons tailored to our needs. I truly would not be where I am today without Kelly and her amazing team—special shoutout to Jolie, an incredible service dog trainer who has made a huge difference for us. We recently started a brand-new service dog training class, and I was blown away by how much we learned in just the first session. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, our accommodations were fully met, and every dog was cared for so well. Poppy was thrilled and completely exhausted afterward—sleeping

We enrolled our GSD puppy Ruby in several different training classes with Kelly and her team, from basic puppy training to agility. Ruby loved learning and Kelly was amazing with her! Ruby was not the easiest dog to handle but we learned a lot from Kelly and our confidence grew with each class. Thanks to Four on the Floor we have a smart 3.5 year old dog who loves to learn and show off her skills!

Kelly and all of the trainers are amazingly patient not only with the dogs, but with the owners. We started working with Kelly and her team when one of my dogs started showing reactive behaviors. They have not only helped my pup, they’ve helped me learn and understand my dogs better!
