Waunakee is in Wisconsin, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Waunakee follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Fantastic facilities. Very clean and lots of things for your dog to do here. The staff are very friendly and seem to truly care about the dogs. Everything here is first class. It's not the cheapest doggie daycare around, but you get what you pay for.

Part I Standard Administrative Items: Everything is very clear on what is needed to get enrolled for the three trial days before my dog Griffin was officially setup in a group & day that matched his play style. Communication is always extremely prompt whenever I reach out with questions and during pick up/drop off there’s at minimum always feedback about how the day went. I also really appreciate that if there is anything to work on they let you know and also let you know what their gameplan is moving forward or what homework you also need to be doing. i.e. when you have a puppy who doesn’t know how to remove themselves from play when they get tired, and so the team just sees that behavior and know to give your doggo more breaks/naps throughout their stay before they get overstimulated. Which is an example I can provide that really highlights how Zen really caters to your dog’s specific needs and are extremely helpful to help you traverse through everything as well. (Which I really appreciate since Griffin is my first dog as an adult.) In short, I really have enjoyed the whole experience so far and really appreciate the professionalism and thoughtfulness that they have provided. E

It is tough to summarize what makes Zen so wonderful and special. The best place to start is the people. The owners and staff truly love what they do. They work with a large variety of breeds and personalities. They are familiar with dog behavior and know how to read the animal’s body language. Drop off and pick up are handled efficiently along with kindness and humor. The staff to dog ratio in the play areas is excellent. The personnel are well trained to manage the pups under their supervision. Zen staff also know “their” dogs as individuals. This includes my Betty, a mostly poodle miniature golden doodle (35#). The summer of 2022, Betty had several sessions with Lynn which were videotaped. Betty was under a year old and we got a very solid foundation. Lynn is so knowledgeable and intuitive about dogs I briefly wondered if she’d been raised by a pack of wolves 😂. She was endlessly patient with me (much more challenging to teach than Betty). I’d encourage anyone to give Zen a try if your best friend (s) needs plenty of safe, fun play time.

Our Mabel has been a “student” at Zendogs for more than 2 years. The best part of my day is dropping her off and picking her up. A truly tired and happy girl! I cannot say enough about the Zendog team. They take great care of our pups and love them almost as much as we do.

My girlfriend and I LOVE this place! Honestly can't say enough good things about them and the people that work there! We have a totally deaf 6 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix and started bringing her to Zen Dogs about 3 weeks ago. They had never looked after a deaf dog before, but welcomed us with open arms. We immediately started seeing positive changes in her behavior around other dogs. Before bringing her here she would be very skittish around other dogs, especially at the dog park. She would hide between our legs, get scared of larger dogs, etc. Now, she plays with ALL the dogs at the dog park. It is sometimes hard for us to get her in the car because she love playing with other dogs so much now. The employees here are also top notch. They take the time to let you know the highlights of your dogs day, and who their favorite play buddies were. Thank you so much Zen Dogs for helping our pup build up confidence. We will be a lifelong customer!
