I honestly cannot say enough good things about Woofers. I have three dogs with very different needs, and I truly never thought I would see some of the progress they made here. Bailey is extremely reactive, and somehow the staff was able to safely leash and walk her, gradually expose her to other dogs, and eventually have her around them without the barking, lunging, and reactions we normally see. That alone absolutely amazed me. My blind dog, Jr., was treated with so much patience and care. They made accommodations for him and gave him the time and support he needed to acclimate to an unfamiliar environment, which meant so much to me. Then there is Roxy, who is also dog-reactive. They were able to work with her and get her to have positive interactions with other dogs — something I genuinely wasn't sure would ever be possible. What impressed me most was that they didn't just "handle" my dogs. They took the time to understand each dog's individual personality, limitations, and needs and worked with them accordingly. Seeing Bailey and Roxy successfully interacting around other dogs and knowing Jr. was being cared for appropriately gave me a level of confidence and peace of mind

Kaya (my dog) absolutely loved it here! The staff are so friendly and treated her as if she was their own! I got daily videos/pictures that helped me know that she was having a great time and loved. Highly recommend. Thank you for taking care of my baby! <3

Outstanding care! 3 dogs spent 2 weeks there and loved it. Daily videos and emails with questions about the dogs. Dogs are so happy and are very well behaved now.

During my 16 day vacation to Hawaii, my dog stayed at Woofers in Black Hawk. My entire family was on this trip, so Einstein could not stay with family while we were gone. I have had him since he was 7 weeks old (he is now 7 years old) and during these years he has only been boarded for 2 days (not at Woofers). He is my soul mate with 4 legs and needless to say, I was anxious about leaving him. Every day Woofers staff posted at least one video of him playing with other dogs. His behaviors were so typical of how he is at home….playing and having a good time. In addition, he got to socialize with many other good natured dogs, which he doesn’t have the opportunity to do at home. My vacation was very restorative, in great part, because I had no anxious feelings about Einstein being happy and well cared for. I will definitely use Woofers in Black Hawk in the future as needed. Who sleeps with their head on their frisbee?

We have used woofers (both locations) since 2023. Jayme has trained our Dutch Shepard, she minds EVERY command. It’s thanks to Jayme, we understand how best to train her. We have boarded our Dutch Shepard (4yrs) and Belgian Malinois (8 months) on several occasions. I have always been beyond happy and satisfied with Jayme and Woofers staff. They understand these breeds, I have nothing but absolute confidence in woofers ability to love and care for my pups. These guys know what they’re doing! As any owner of a working breed knows, trying to tire these pups out is pretty much impossible; however, for about a day after pick up, it’s mostly calm and quiet in the house!
