Whispering X K9 Training Academy

The best dog trainer around Whatcom County has to be Tracy. Whispering X should be your go to training school for you and your dog. Tracy has both patience and the ability to take on the most challenging of dogs, “my beagle”. With 4 other dogs in the class she taught Woody how to ignore distractions and focus on me. That’s a big deal for me. Easier on walks now. I can’t thank her enough. Tracy has other types of classes too. I’m going back.

While we have had many dogs, trainers, and canine classes over many years, last year, we rescued a beautiful but hyperactive 3 yo border collie, who can outrun, out-think and out-bark us! We are committed to him, but we were also ill-equipped for this level of dog and felt so frustrated. Then we found Tracy and Whispering X. All of us have gained confidence and connection and found a mutual language through her positive, fun, and effective classes: ten so far, but we will continue. (And we have a 40 minute drive each way! But so so worth it!) Tracy is extraordinary, warm and highly professional. And… she saved us!

Tracy and Whispering X provide absolutely outstanding training! Tracy is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely excited to share what she knows. Her ability to connect with and teach people of all ages is remarkable; she creates such a positive and supportive learning environment. She was especially instrumental in helping our teen handlers build confidence and find real joy in their training. Tracy’s enthusiasm and expertise make every session engaging, effective, and fun. We are so grateful for the experience and highly recommend Whispering X to anyone looking for high-quality, inspiring training!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about Tracy and Whispering X K9 Training. From the very first class, I could tell she truly cares about every single dog and owner that walks through her doors. She takes the time to get to know your dog’s personality, quirks, and motivations, and then helps you learn how to work with them, not against them. It’s not just about obedience; it’s about communication, confidence, and teamwork. What really stands out about Tracy is her ability to read the room and adapt. No two dogs are the same, and she never uses a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup is shy, stubborn, over-excited, or just easily distracted, she’s got a way of connecting that makes training click. She explains the “why” behind everything, so you leave understanding what you’re doing, not just repeating steps. The classes are active, engaging, and honestly a lot of fun. We’re not sitting in chairs listening to lectures; we’re up, moving, practicing, and getting real-time feedback that actually sticks. Tracy also celebrates progress, even the small wins, which keeps you motivated and your dog eager to learn. Since starting classes here, I’ve noticed major improvement

Tracy is an incredible dog trainer! She’s patient, kind, and super organized. We move often and she came highly recommended by other trainers across the state—and for good reason. Of all the obedience classes we’ve tried, Tracy’s has made the biggest difference! What I love most is that her classes are hands-on and active—you’re up working with your dog, not just sitting and listening. She gives real-time feedback and personalized guidance that you can apply immediately. Her fun, high-energy approach (with games the dogs actually enjoy!) makes training feel rewarding for both the handler and the pup. Since starting her class 8 weeks ago, my dog’s leash pulling has significantly improved, his off-leash recall is dramatically better, and he’s much more attentive. Plus, I'm more trained up ;)
