Pet stores sell the food, treats, toys, beds, crates, leashes and grooming tools that keep a coat in good shape between appointments: slicker brushes, combs, de-shedding tools, nail clippers, shampoos and conditioners. Independent pet shops often carry raw and freeze-dried food and local brands, and many run a grooming salon or a self-service wash in the back; dog bakeries sell fresh treats and birthday cakes; aquarium and exotic pet stores serve fish, birds and reptiles; and feed stores sell bulk food, bedding and supplies for farm animals and horses.

The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 AM–6 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (541) 338-8801. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is wagsdog.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 220 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet store in Eugene and suggests consistent service.

Eugene is in Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Eugene follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
