Von Barkee's Dog Spa & Bakery

We are new to Wilmington and were excited to find a true "spa" for our girl Luna. Today was our first visit and we couldn't be happier with how she looks! I had some pretty specific instructions due to experiences with previous groomers and they followed them perfectly! Luna is a pretty anxious pup and you could tell they took extra special care of her while she was there. We will gladly be booking her next appointment soon!

They take such great care of him. I have an anxious dog who doesn’t let you touch his paws but they’re able to work with him to dremel his nails and he loves seeing everyone there. They take the time to talk to us if any issues arise and take the best care of him.

I cannot recommend Von Barkees enough. After trying several grooming locations in Wilmington, we’ve finally found our “go-to”! The facility is extremely clean, the staff is excellent and friendly, and my pup’s nails always come out perfect. My pup having black nails has always been a challenge with other places cutting them too short. I’m so grateful we finally found Von Barkees so he is comfortable.

I genuinely can’t say enough good things about my experience with Von Barkees. I have two older Golden Retrievers and finding people who understand their needs—and treat them with the gentleness they deserve—is incredibly important. The team at Von Barkees did exactly that. They were so patient and kind with my seniors, taking their time and making sure they were comfortable every step of the way. You can tell they truly care about the dogs they work with. The attention to detail and the calm, reassuring way they handled my Goldens honestly touched me. When I picked them up, they looked beautiful, but even more importantly, they seemed relaxed and happy. That meant everything to me. I’m deeply grateful for the level of care, precision, and genuine compassion they showed. Von Barkees did a fantastic job, and I’m so thankful to have found a place I can trust with my dogs’ comfort and well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Hunter at Von Barkee’s did an amazing job with Wrigley! At 6½ months old, he’s still a little ball of chaos with endless puppy energy, but Hunter was so patient and wonderful with him. He came home looking absolutely adorable, smelling amazing, and feeling so soft and fluffy. The entire team at Von Barkee’s truly treats your babies like they’re their own. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and that kind of care is hard to find. Wrigley is always like a bull in a china shop when he goes but I have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such loving hands. They are, without a doubt, the best groomers in town, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my crazy, sweet boy. Thank you, Hunter, for always taking such wonderful care of Wrigley!
