Groomers often spot skin problems, ear infections, lumps or overgrown nails first and will suggest a vet visit.

We brought our 17 week old Yorkie to an Urgent Care Center. We paid a small fortune and they were of no help at all. They diagnosed but could not treat. Our regular vet then referred us to The VAC Colonial where we met DR. THORNE. She was absolutely amazing. She was able to sedate our puppy to get proper x rays and splint her broken toes. The radiologist, surgeon and vet all viewed the x rays. I felt very confident in their treatment plan. The staff were all great right from when we first walked in the door. I highly recommend going here for ANY urgent/ emergency needs. You will not find better care.

Dr. Whalen has given my sensitive dog incredible care, and she has gone above and beyond to make sure I feel informed, empowered, and comfortable at every step of the care plan and treatment. Her guidance, suggestions, and issue-spotting have proved to be accurate and effective. She recently handled my dog's dental cleaning and extractions, and this too exceeded my expectations. She developed a specific post-op medicine treatment plan that didn't aggravate my dog's other health issues. I could not be more grateful or recommend her more highly. Thank you Dr. Whalen and Colonial!

Every time we have had to visit here, it has been an amazing experience. The vets, technicians, office staff are all kind, supportive, and they look out for your pet and you. Our recent visit involved our daughter's dog who broke his leg. We were facing a long drive to Buffalo with an injured dog. However, VCA was able to squeeze him in and our Six-Million Dollar Stan is on the mend. We can't thank VCA enough!

My dog had been suffering and her vet failed her. I told her vet that she was suffering and would need to be helped and their response was to see her in two and a half weeks. After watching her suffer and get worse, I called colonial. They were so unbelievably caring. They got us right in and took her right back to a room. They were so understanding and gave us all the time we needed with each other. They helped us get through a very traumatic moment.

1 year since Sissy the Calico went to VCA Colonial on 3/2/25 late one Sunday afternoon. Nothing bad to say on care that others have not said on Xray price, sedation and offsite read price. Over $750. Overall price seemed high ($1600) but I never had a cat to a hospital. The offsite read need seemed a little off as I would think a Cornell grad could just read it.. Everything done to the cat is out of owners view like others said. Dr Laura Pollock was Vet. She was great. Sky too. She only ruled out what it probably was not. More testing could be done at a later date. She had a fever and would not eat. Was very low energy. That is what we took her for. Vet gave her some IV meds. Sent us home with Ear Cream to help increase appitite and antibiotics. She did well after. She is living her best indoor outdoor stray cat life with her sister the Tuxedo, hanging with the food stealing racoons and inside.. The owner or Rep did call back after I filled out some survey week after visit. That is a first from a survery She was good and said some escape with just the ER visit cost. Guess I was not one. Wanted to wait a year to post.
