In Milwaukee, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Wisconsin, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (414) 962-4240. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vanityfurmilwaukee.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Took my long-haired cat in for a nail trim and sanitary shave. They were great with him, very fast and so friendly. They worked with me to find an appointment time as well. Highly recommend!!

I can’t recommend Vanity Fur enough! Julia and the team are fantastic—so communicative, friendly, and accommodating, as well as reasonably priced. They’re passionate about pets and ours pets love them! My dog always comes home soft, clean, and smiling. Once, they went above and beyond when my dog had an issue with a torn nail. They fit us in the same day and at no charge, which I truly appreciated. Neuman got a little gift during his last visit! If you’re lucky enough to snag an appointment, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

This business is wonderful! Cori, the owner, took the time to give our foster dog who was in very rough shape a much-needed groom. She was very caring and took the time to get as many details about him as possible and had patience with him when he was nervous and very reactive to the grooming process. Teddy looks like a million bucks and feels so much better now, and as a result of his groom he will get adopted quickly! What a great place!

My Luna loves coming to Vanity Fur. As soon as I park the car she gets so excited; she knows she is going to have fun with her friend Sarah. Sarah is wonderful. She cares and all our experiences with her and Vanity Fur had been amazing. Sarah loves her furry friends and they love her back. The best groomer Luna ever had. They are very busy, because they are that good. But if you are lucky and get an appointment, you will never go anywhere else.

Second time bringing our long haired cat, Willow, to Kristy for nail trimming, paw pad shave and sanitary shave. She does such a phenomenal job with our cat and makes sure she is comfortable and well taken care of during her visit. She takes her time to explain what she does and how our cat did/tolerated everything. Even gave Willow a small gift for the holidays. We have tried to do early morning appointments before the dogs come in and it makes such a huge difference. Would highly recommend booking with her for any cat grooming needs!
