Had a good experience at UrgentVet-Joliet. Tried other vets with no luck but was able to schedule a time on-line with them. Dr. Hlad was very thorough and kind. She explained everything and helped me make an informed decision to get us through the weekend until we could see our regular vet.

I took my cat in today for anal gland issues that needed to be addressed quickly. Deja took care of us, Dr Heather saw Ducky and Alyssa assisted. I absolutely loved Deja, give that girl a raise. My cat is very anxious and hates strangers. This is the first time I’ve ever seen him even slightly comforted by someone else, Dr Heather gave him a hug and he visibly relaxed a bit. We were there about an hour and a half. Prices were not as bad as other emergency vets, much more reasonable. $166 for the office visit + the cost of whatever your pet is needing. (As of 7/17/26). We left having peace of mind for the weekend, pain meds / anti inflammatory and forta flora for his belly. My Ducky is on his way to feeling better and I can’t thank the team enough.

My dog is usually very skittish around people he doesn't know, but the staff made him feel safe and comfortable right away. They explained every step of the process thoroughly and made sure we understood everything. We were in and out pretty quickly, especially for an urgent care visit. The prices are higher than a regular vet, which is expected, but I thought they were very reasonable for urgent care. I also really appreciated that they explained the cost of every test, medication, and treatment before moving forward with anything. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring my dog back if he ever needed urgent care again.

I cannot possibly compliment/thank UrgentVet and its staff enough. When I arrived in a panic, they were kind, understanding, patient, and wonderful with my pet. They listened to my concerns and immediately responded, leaving me to feel so much better knowing that my cat had been in good hands and received the care he needed. He already began to act noticeably better by the following day. It is a huge comfort to know that urgentvet is so close to my home, which brings massive peace of mind knowing that competent care is available when needed. I especially want to thank Alyssa, the vet tech who was so wonderful to me.

We had to do end of life care for our dog that is 16 1/2. We were treated so kindly by everyone who works there. I would recommend if you are looking for someone to treat you with respect and kindness, you consider the team at urgent care. Our regular vet was closed and we were referred to an animal hospital and not even charged for our initial consultation. Based on her failing health, we chose as a family to return to the urgent care because we knew they would treat us well. If you’ve ever had a good experience with a vet, you know how important it is for our animals to be treated with dignity. You couldn’t pick a better place.
