They were amazing! After waiting for three hours at another vet without being seen, I called UrgentVet on Sunday night and was able to speak with a real person right away. She told me to bring our dog in, and as soon as we arrived, she was seen and treated promptly. The only wait we had was during registration. Every member of the team was kind, compassionate, and truly cared about our dog. I especially appreciated the follow-up call the next day to check on how she was doing. That level of care meant a lot to us. Thank you all for everything—you turned a very stressful situation into a positive experience, and we're so grateful for the excellent care you provided.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Urgent Vet in Elgin. I was simply trying to have my dog’s existing prescription approved so I could purchase his medication through an online pharmacy where it is significantly more affordable. The medication had already been prescribed by their veterinarian, but the office refused to authorize the prescription because the doctor who treated my dog is currently out of the office and “can’t physically approve it.” Instead of finding a reasonable solution, I was told I would need to bring my dog back in for another visit. While they offered to waive the exam fee, I would still be required to pay approximately $90 for an ear cytology. It feels like the only option they’re willing to provide is one that results in more charges or requires me to purchase the medication directly from them at a higher price. I’m also concerned about the quality of the original exam. My dog’s ear was never examined with an otoscope to check for a ruptured eardrum before medication was prescribed. The veterinarian only performed a swab on one ear and then had me swab the other ear myself. If this clinic advertises Fear Free Certified staff, I don’t underst

I had to bring my dog, Maddie, to UrgentVet on the 4th of July, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she received. It’s never easy dealing with an emergency, especially on a holiday, but everyone there was so kind, compassionate, and professional from the moment we walked in. The staff took the time to make both Maddie and me feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and treated her like she was their own. Even though I’m sure it was a busy holiday, they never made us feel rushed and gave Maddie the attention she needed. Thank you to the entire UrgentVet team for being there when we needed you most. I highly recommend UrgentVet to anyone looking for exceptional, compassionate emergency care for their pets.

I had such a great experience at UrgentVet! They took amazing care of my fur baby. The entire staff was kind, compassionate, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. They took the time to examine him, explain everything, and made sure he got the care he needed. I’m so grateful for how well they treated both of us. I will definitely be coming back to UrgentVet for any future urgent care needs for my pup. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy veterinary team!

They were upfront about the estimates and realistic about the situation. My dog is already healing. Easy peasy!
