Vets and pet-health businesses handle what a groomer cannot. General veterinarians and animal hospitals do checkups, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spaying and neutering and sick visits; emergency and 24-hour vets treat injuries and sudden illness at night and on weekends; mobile vets come to the house; rehab centers offer physical therapy, hydrotherapy and acupuncture; and pet pharmacies fill prescriptions and sell prescription diets. Groomers often spot skin problems, ear infections, lumps or overgrown nails first and will suggest a vet visit.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–9 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I was treated with kindness and care. The Vet technician, May who has taken care of my furbabies for a number of years at her previous place of employment, was and still is our angel. I specifically requested her, as she has always been wonderful with my animals. I never met the Vet, but Ben had become so matted he could not get comfortable. At age 18, he could not groom himself and I couldn't groom him. May handled him with love and tenderness. Everything is expensive now so, yes the prices were high but no higher than a Vets office. The level of care from the front desk to May, was incredible. If I need to take my furbabies anywhere I wouldn't hesitate to return to Urgent Care by Pawprints. As long as I can specifically ask for and receive the care that our angel, May provides.

When my Great Pyrenees back legs stopped working, I called Urgent Care by Pawprints. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough! From the receptionist to the vet to all three technicians who worked with us, everyone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. When we arrived around 2pm, there was already a room waiting for us. Faith let us know the total cost through every step, checking in that each procedure was understood and authorized. Dr. Hicks was direct and moved briskly, answering all my questions. No time wasted! We got a physical exam, x-rays, a tick panel, heartworm test, meds, vaccines, and even a nail trim, all in under 2 hours. For an emergency Vet I felt like the bill (~$850) was actually pretty reasonable. Cassie explained all the payment options, we were given literature and instructions, and were out of there by 4:30. I have owned animals most of my life and I can say honestly this was the best emergency Vet experience I’ve had. I hope I’ll never have to go back again, but if I do, I know we’ll be in good hands. (Extra dog tax because she’s the prettiest good girl!)

My cat apparently sprained her front leg and needed to be seen. After not being able to get into our regular Vet I decided to give Urgent Care by Pawprints a try. The process was seamless; the staff was most helpful and caring. The Doctor was knowledgeable providing a full exam and offering all available treatment options while leaving the decision entirely up to me as to which avenue we took. I will definitely be back, hopefully not too soon, but when the need arises, I will be back. The cost was FAR less than the after-hours Emergency Vet, and comparable to my regular Vet.

I recently brought one of my rats in to have a mammary tumor evaluated and removed. We saw Dr. Hicks for the first evaluation, and followed up with Dr. Dunn the next week for the surgical procedure. The care my girl Cricket received was absolutely fantastic! I was so relieved to find a veterinary clinic who was comfortable performing tumor removal surgery on small animals. Their treatment plan was excellent, and I was especially impressed by the pain management they provided after she had her surgery. They sent us home with pre-filled syringes of meloxicam, which was super convenient and easy to administer. Then in addition to the meloxicam, they also sent us home with a written prescription for gabapentin, which I was easily able to get filled at a Walmart Pharmacy. The gabapentin made a huge difference in her recovery. It helped keep her sleepy enough to where she wasn’t constantly interfering with her incision site. The location of her tumor was not ideal, so she had to have staples put in to help close the incision. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive to my concerns as to whether or not the incision site was healing properly. They offered multiple options to ease my

I have used Pawprints 3 times when our vet was closed. Each time Mittens (my cat) has received excellent care. The staff was wonderful each time. From the receptionist up to the doctor, everyone was friendly and caring. They were very upfront about procedures and costs. They explained everything very clearly and went over options and the pros/cons of each one. While the care of my pet is my number one priority, the staff was also concerned with our comfort while we waited. If there was anything negative for me to say is just that you never know which doctor you will see. That is, however, pretty much a mute point as they are a walk in urgent care facility and not a regular veterinarian office. Therefore, I have absolutely no negatives, only praise and appreciation!
