I went to this store about 2 weeks ago & got a german blue ram. Put the fish in the tank & it ended catching Ick. Killed most of my tetras & i ended up losing the ram too. The store is hot inside too but it wasn’t that much of a bother to me. The workers there are cool though & knowledgeable.

I’ve been keeping both freshwater and saltwater aquariums for years, and Tropical Lagoon is easily one of the best fish stores I’ve EVER visited. I find myself there almost every week because the quality, honesty, and customer service are second to none. Steve, the owner, has built something special. What sets him apart is that he’s incredibly honest. If he doesn’t think a fish is right for your tank, your experience level, or your setup, he’ll tell you. He’s not focused on making a quick sale—he genuinely wants his customers and their fish to succeed. That kind of integrity is rare and one of the main reasons I trust him completely. Mark is fantastic as well. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and always willing to help answer questions. The entire team is welcoming and treats customers with respect whether you’re a beginner or have been in the hobby for years. The fish are healthy, active, and clearly well cared for. That’s true for both freshwater and saltwater. I’ve purchased many fish from Tropical Lagoon over the years, and the quality has always been outstanding. Had such a great experience at our local aquarium store! We picked up a beautiful piece of driftwood and two angelfish, and everything was in great condition. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. And a special shoutout to Tank the turtle—my daughter absolutely loved him! 🐢 Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.

This is a location with a pretty good selection of the most popular salt water fish that’s available on the market currently. They had some fish you don’t see a lot in other local stores so it was overall a good visit. The employees were helpful, despite there being a lot of customers they made sure everyone was checked on. I heard them educating someone as well on water changes and best care practices for evolving tanks. I’d recommend this place for sure. Parking is in a lot next to the building, free on Sat/Sun and paid M-F. It is next to a lounge but just take the stairs down.

Beautiful store! The fish look fat and healthy and there's a good variety. Tons of wood and stones, coral and anenonies. The staff was great. Definitely recommend.
