Three Dimensional Dog Training

Can’t say enough good things about 3D and Elyssa! We saw major improvement in our dog with each session and were equipped with the knowledge and skills of how to continue the good behavior moving forward. Elyssa was so helpful and patient with us every step of the way. Definitely recommend!

He hung my precious dog up in the air by a slip collar and leather leash like a fish he had caught. I was confused, not acting immediately, because it was such a surprise and after all “he’s the professional, right?” He seemed happy, smirking, while he had her hanging there squirming and gasping for air on the metal Herm Sprenger collar he insisted upon me buying, it “works best”. This was how he would choke my dog out in mid air, “helicoptering” her and it would take some months, and multiple veterinary opinions for me to find out he had mentally damaged her for life. She was afraid, showing fear signals especially on leash of course (because of his treatment) which I had never seen in her before our time with Aaron. Enough so that the veterinarians told us it would be most ethical to put her down. The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) views "Helicoptering" as a prohibited practice! But, it appears Aaron McDonald has no certifications to his name in dog training, including the CCPDT-KA. Another strange aspect of his “training”, instead of stimulating a dog and giving them time with actual mental opportunities, he wanted to keep my dog bored on

In one session, we learned more than we ever would have on our own. The sessions were immediately effective and transformed our experience as puppy owners. Aaron was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable, made himself readily available even outside session times as needs or questions arose, and we had a fantastic experience with the company overall. Highly recommend!

Amy worked with my 2 rescue dogs from the start, and later we worked with the other 3D dogs trainers as well for counterconditioning. My dogs did well with leash reactivity. Currently they are continuing counterconditioning/desensitization with positive reinforcement only. They were exposed to triggers at safe distance from the start. They achieved neutrality on walk especially from strangers appearing, and they still need some distance from other dogs. We are currently specifically working in gradually reducing that distance. I am learning in the process that positive conditioning, with removal of treat/play temporarily to curb some behavior, is safe, beneficial and effective when done with proper guidance, without recurring to negative reinforcement or positive corrections.

Juniper and Ellie did the 5 session training option with Aaron! We (both our pups and their humans) have learned so much during this process and were able to grow together! Aaron gave us valuable tips and tricks and more control back. The process is incredibly streamlined by the 3D Dog Training team and everyone we spoke with was so professional and helpful. We want to continue to hone the skills we learned with Aaron, and eventually work with him again for more training. Thank you to everyone that is a part of this team! Y’all are wonderful!
