In Northport, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Alabama, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

I love the wizard of paws. I’ve been taking my huge doodle here since we got him 3 years ago. Never seen another groomer. They do such an amazing job and the new owner is so kind reasonable and understanding. She works with you and is so sweet. Hannah is usually the one who grooms my doodle. I love her. She does such an amazing job every single time. I recently took my German shepherd for a de-shedding bath amazing. He’s very nervous but they took such great care of him. When I was struggling with matting on my doodle Mary T taught me exactly what to do to take care of them at home so he wouldn’t have to be shaved. I love everyone here. They groomed my doodle for professional pictures as well. And he looked perfect.

This is my second review for Wizard of Paws I’m using my business email for this review the first review is was from 10 months ago from me Garrett Baker, but just have to say again, I highly recommend Wizard of Paws grooming for all of your dogs! This is our second visit to them and this visit was just as great as the first visit except this time we got Salems & Pipers tails color for Memorial Day/ 4th of July! Their tails look just like the firecracker popsicles!!! I highly, highly recommend them! 10/10 we will be back again!

Mary T and her crew did an outstanding job with our boy. Even short haired bullies need some loving every once in a while. We would definitely recommend them.

After having a bad experience at a previous groomer, Hannah and the Wizard of Paws team did an amazing job making sure my boy felt safe and comfortable while being groomed. Not only does he feel better now but he looks so handsome, too!!

It's been almost 3 years since the first appointment and things only get better! The staff are amazing and I can't still thank them enough for all care and love that they provide to my babies! Thank you guys! ❤️ ------ It's been more than one year and our admiration for their work just grows! We love all of the girls that work there so much because they always show respect and love for our little girls! It is the perfect grooming! ------ Today was our first appointment for grooming for our two girls (one mix and one corgi) and they came back amazing! They smell so good that is impossible to handle ❤️. Also the girls that attend us were so nice and adorable that we feel safe to leave our girls there. It took like 1:30h for both dogs be done and we use this time in the grocery store near the groomer. They are really amazing!
